270k points in missiles and battleships die in 30-50 sec. I have low skills so i replaced T1 with Caldari Navy after one week lvl 4 missions:
Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher Caldari Navy Heavy Missile Launcher
10MN Afterburner II V-M15 Braced Multispectral Shield Matrix Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II Ballistic Deflection Field I Heat Dissipation Field I
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Power Diagnostic System II
Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I Medium Core Defence Field Purger I
5 x Hobgoblin II
Dont go for sucky tank. Keep 59 km distance from battleships and heavy drones and they will do zero damage. Turn Afterburner on and Guristas Missiles wont hurn you. Kia Isatoh gives very easy missions btw

I started my L4s at 1.6M sp, so here is some advice from someone who got into them with very low sp.
L4s are a different beast than other lvl missions. Also, the raven is a VERY different boat than the drake. You can hop into a drake as soon as you can fit it and do any L3 no prob because it has such an awesome tank and is so easy to fit. Try hopping into a raven and jumping into an L4 as soon as you can and you will lose it.
Here is my advice, from someone who got into L4s as fast as possible.
Before you get into L4s you want Drones V. You WILL get warp scrambled and if you can't take those frigs out fast you will lose your ship. Preferably you want T2 drones and 2 or 3 lvls of drone interfacing. Good drones are one of the most important pieces of equipment for an L4 newb.
Stay aligned to a station. If you need to GTFO you can, and docking instantly recharges your shield and cap.
If you have to warp out, train shield/cap skills. If you don't need to warp out train BS and all missile support skills to IV. Then go back and train up your shield/cap skills.

I hope this guy isnt serios. Lvl 4 is easier that lvl 3 for drake. Maybe lvl 4 is hard for low skilled battleships. For drake they are kind of joke. Only in the beginning it is a bit slow because you dont have faction or t2 gear. p.s.: guy above me is terrible if he is serios.

So you run L4s in a faction fit drake and you are comparing it to this guy that has just got into a drake?
You've got to be ****ting me.

Train for t2 heavy missile launchers ASAP, don't waste your precious money on those arbalest HMLs.
Use theeve survivalwebsite to help you find out what damage you need to be doing or be tanking.
I wouldn't head into L4 with anything less than level 4 relevant skills. If you are, always overtank your ship at first...as you get comfortable with the missions, then drop the tank for more DPS.
A good l4 drake set up: Highs: HML II x7, tractor beam (if it fits) Medium: -2 large shield extender (meta 4/t2) -3 active hardeners depending on the mission (active > passive, and you don't need the cap anyway); make 2 of them protect against the primary damage type, and the other one for the 2ndary damage type -10mn afterburner (battleships have a VERY tough time hitting you with this; this mod will prevent more damage than another shield mod, and you can run it permanently)
Lows: -Ballistic Control System II x3 (if you can't use tech 2, train for it...the training time is very low for such a good mod) -power diagnostic system, shield power relay, damage control, whatever tickles your fancy
RIGS: -3x medium purgers- these are very cheap now, so there's no excuse for not having them on your drake.

Don't bother with that crappy faction drake someone else posted. Not only will you not be able to afford those mods for another couple of months, but the benefit isn't that much greater anyway (you'll be better off in a well skilled raven at that point).
Also, tech 1 + faction mods = lol

not to mention looting/salvaging in a drake will be painfully slow, although with 6 launchers and low skills killing stuff will be even more painfully slow.
Not really, since the Drake kills stuff as fast as I can salvage it. I don't let it pile up 'cause ninja salvagers love that.
