I've been hearing rumors that i can create/build my very own space staion in EVE, but of course it would take a long time.
I'm still looking, but does anybody know of a link where i can collect in depth detail info about how to do this?

Are you referring to Outposts or POS structures?

You need roughly 40 bil ISK worth of things, you need to be in an alliance that holds sov. in the system you want to place the new station in, the system has to have no stations whatsoever (you can't have two per system), and after you put it up you have to defend it constantly, because ANYBODY can come in, drop your sov and capture the station you just built for himself (better said, his corp/alliance, that's not something you do as a solo player).
Basically - forget about it until you're part of a larger corp/alliance.

POS (player owned starbases) fulfill most of the same functions as stations and are many times cheaper. They are anchored at moons and have a modest cost...
A small POS is something like 50 million. Different POS modules perform different functions, which also cost a bit extra...and there's a fuel cost dependent on the size of the POS.

Whether you mean the structure you anchor by a moon or the thing you can dock in you have to be able to defend it or you will lose it.
They are harder to defend than to build.

as a solo player, of course i don't want to build a POS yet. I was curious because if it is true that would be a cool project to work on in the future.
