i saw the star allaince as having the stronger PVP players from ym experiance down in CFS space, it will seem they have more sensible corps as well if getting out of the war. ------------------------------ .Flamenco Haggis. Once a pround member of Xanadu Member of Mercury and Solace [MACE] Currently proud member of ATUK Mon then ya bas!!! |

STAR alliance are (were?)a bunch of corps, mainly german, who a few months back decided to move from empire to 0.0 in search of untold riches. We tagged along for the ride for a while. The stations in Delve region were owned by Xanadu, but open for STAR to use and they settled there. So the STAR corps were happily mining away at the bistot/crokite and npc hunting in Delve for several months. Their problem was that Xanadu were seldom around to protect the stations from incusions by other alliances, so every so often the stations were taken over and they lost access. Then STAR would take the stations back themselves to regain access to their stuff, but Xanadu always turned up after the event to reclaim the stations for themselves.
This arrangement seemed to suit everyone for a while, STAR got their rare minerals, Xanadu got their commission from the refining station and CA farmed the STAR ships as they passed through A2-V27, taking enough of the ships to make it worthwhile, but letting enough through to keep the route viable.
I guess STAR just got frustrated with being a pawn, wanted a piece of turf for themselves, and (surprise, surprise) found that it was tougher than they anticipated. I guess it shows how hard it is for new alliances to establish themselves as a major player in the game now.

Oh, what am I saying? It's easy to get meaningless titles.
Good question, especially since it seems he can't spell Counselor correctly.

In the plethora of threads on this dirt war, that is the most sensible thing anyone has said yet.

StA WAS an local Delve alliance supporting CFS in their claim of independance from FA.
Though able to defend against most pirate raids, we could not withstand the combined forces of FA while QDF cutted our supply lines and this evolution should that we were not strong enough...
