be happy that this game doesnt contain eny physics cause it would be pain in the a$$. ever played frontier (elite 2)? it had real physics and it was totaly bull**** *G

But I did enjoy Elite FF II too. mostly because of the realism.

If you would like a fiction based explanation of why there is friction in space in Eve, or at least why there appears that way. The best thing I written on the topic just for fun is using the current ship technology and my limited knowledge of warp physics 
In short my thoughts that the warp fields can be manipulated by the ship (unnoticeable to the user) to cause gravometric friction on the surrounding space to slow it down at a acceptable rate. IE) polarizing the warp field to cause pulses of gravometric energy at the bow of the ship and thus cause resistance. Just as if you were to row against strong waves on a lake.
just my thoughts on howit "might" work :)

Interesting theory, but what about the fact that the ship can fly through stations and planets? maybe not at slow speed, but in warp?
