Rells, whilst I understand what you're saying and why you're saying it, I think you're overly pessimistic, overly prescreptive and over-generalising.
It is no secret that I have very little sympathy for people who demand ever-increasing levels of safety under the false flag of "playstyle". You can read over my forum record if you like. Hell, read the very first post I made on these forums. I have always consistently advocated maximum player freedom, minimum NPC freedom.
I would agree that around the 15 month period late 2007-to end of 2008 CCP took their eye off the ball and made several horrible strategic errors in overboosting hi-sec. However, I believe that they have recognised their error - the hints to this effect are there for anybody to read - and have begun the long, slow process of correcting it as best they can. Dominion, if it works as intended, will be a significant step in this direction. The relatively low carrying economic capacity of 0.0 has long been a legitimate objection to getting more people living in 0.0, and CCP have recognised this and taken steps to amend the situation. Meanwhile, steps like the 11% tax rate for NPC corps are as explicit a signal as anyone could hope for that the old times of invulnerable unbalanced ISK-whoring in hi-sec are numbered. Back in the day it used to be that if you wanted to get rich, you went to 0.0. That's not the case now, but I believe that CCP want it to become that way again.
I have a huge amount of respect and gratitude for what you've done with Agony Unleashed. An invaluable service has been provided in exactly the way it should be done: in game, by players. All I'm asking from you now is one thing:
Keep the faith.
Hang in there, bro. Times are changing, and I believe for the better.

You didn't miss much unless you're into tears. Just another "PVPer" whining and sobbing about carebears.
At least he's actually done something in game, unlike your sole achievement of becoming so blatant a forum troll that you got banned.

Really? I got banned? I must have missed the memo And speaking of trolls, how have you been doing lately? Still funding the hate-a-carebear-a-day campaign?
And say, you must obviously know what I've done in game to make such general accusations. I troll spiteful idiots like you that only spew hate and rage over carebears. Keep on hatin', buddy.
Ahahaha hate? For you? That'll be the day. No, seriously, I reserve my hate for people who, however despicable, have actually done something. All you've ever done is troll an internet forum - and not very well at that.
What pitiable losers like you fail to appreciate is that someone can sincerely enjoy an activity like playing EvE, and post an honest viewpoint on it that just so happens to contradict your own. I've had plenty of useful and enjoyable discussions from good people whom I respect on the other side of the carebear fence, so to speak, because they weren't frothing little hatesacks like you. You don't even advance the cause you claim to support. All you do is try and degrade the debate and reduce it to a few CTRL-C CRTL-V talking points; You're the Rush Limbaugh of carebears.

You know what I've noticed after playing for years and years? "Elite" PVPers will ALWAYS view themselves superior to anyone that doesn't play their way. PERIOD. I used to "conversate" and express my views in a "civilized" manner to the other side. It just plainly doesn't work. There is no reason or logic with these "hardcore" PVP types. There's no middle ground. It's always the same crap, "carebears sux0r5!1! and they must be bent to our rules!!1!". There is no co-existing. So to try and reason with you types is futile and pointless. A month from now you (yes, you yourself included) will be ridiculing some random player here on the forums for asking something about a war dec or such. It's how you types operate. Someone tries to be civilized with you and they get ridiculed. When they ridicule you then you pull the "hey lets be civilized" card. Pathetic really.
Edit: By the way, think about this and remember what I'm about to say. One year from now, hell, make it even two, carebears will still be playing the game. And you'll still be bitter and emo about them being here. No matter how much you wish them gone they will still be here :). Get over yourself. Learn to live with carebears or emo-rage-quit already.
That's OK man, I have a scrollbutton on my mouse.

Originally by: Zartanic WH's will have definitely attracted more to try PVP including myself. One day I want to do a one man operation and not learning PVP would be suicide. I'm enjoying PVP too, although I knew I would as I have in other games. But it took several weeks to find a corp that suited what I wanted to do (RvB) All other corps require, understandably, too much commitment with reduced flexibility in what I could do.
WH's are an example where a carrot is used to attract players to try something rather than a stick which will just lead to players trying another game.
I definitely agree that W-space was a great addition to the game. (Ofc it needed tweaking - you can make macro changes to a game as huge and complex as EvE and expect to got it right first try.)

Originally by: MatrixSkye Mk2 Carebears are not welcome in this game. I think it's time CCP dropped their subscriptions from Eve. Hardcore PVPers do NOT need carebears, period. This game would only improve without their presence. If you cannot understand this simple concept it is because you're an idiot and you're part of the problem.
Carebears are nothing but parasites that suck the life out of games. Then they move on to the next game. They do nothing but whine and ask for security from the developers. CCP needs to realize that this game is slowly dying because of the damage these parasites are causing. Please help me start a thread on this in the Assembly Hall asking CSMs to bring this issue up to CCP. If this game is to move forward then we will need to get rid of the carebears.
I know there is already a most avid anti-carebear movement group on board with me and I've taken the liberty to sign their names to this request below.

If we do not do anything about this unfortunate vermin that has attached itself into Eve we risk losing the great minds above. Please help support the cause. We need to get rid of the carebears.
Thank you
That's most helpful of you, but shouldn't this have been posted in the assembly hall forum?

Patience, my anti-carebear brother. First we must garner support from the mainstream players in the General Discussion Forums. Once we muster their support we will be ready to attack the carebears where it hurts. For now just keep spewing anti-carebear rhetoric. Sooner or later the majority will be on board.
You mean we must build campaign momentum before launching the formal proposal? Yes... that makes sense. Good thinking!

Moon mining doesn't create ISK.
omglol dude ok. Then lets change mission bounty and reward to collectable loot. But instead of the player having to collect it, it will just keep appearing in his hanger from nothing. sounds fair to me.
You're confusing wealth with ISK. Moon mining definitely creates a lot of wealth, but it doesn't add new ISK to the game as such.

so then as I said lets change all mission bounty to loot that automaticly appears in your hanger. This way bountys dont create ISK anymore but only wealth and all you elite pvp people are happy ?!.
Dont confuse Matrix Skye's hilariously dishonest characterisation of me as anything to do with reality.

Dishonest mischaracterization of you? You mean the fact you openly admit your disdain for carebears?
No, see, you're once again confusing the words you put into my mouth with the things I have actually said. You're so deep in to your propaganda that you have lost sight of the truth, and have come to believe your own lies.
If this were about real life it would be sad and frightening, but as it's only about a game it's just hilarious and pitiful.
Anyway, do carry on. You do far more to persaude people to my point of view than I could hope to.

Yes, yes. Eve will die once Dominion hits. You hardcore PVPers seem to be the whiniest emo kids when you don't get your way. You guys are the true carebears in Eve but you don't even realize it. You hate that which you are. How friggin' ironic.
My sig fits your persona so well it's scary .
He's nearly as big an idiot as you are.
Dominion is the best thing CCP have done for EvE in years.
