In theory, each particular DED complex as well as exploration site suppose to have the same signature strength across all systems. Therefore, I have found Mul-Zatah with different sig strength in different systems. I am not quiet sure if it depends on system sec status or anything else. May be it got fixed with last path since Gusrista Outposts I have found all had the same sig.
Once you find DED once upon a time, for example Guristas Troop Reinvigoration Camp notice signature ID, reenter system drop 1 probe with max size and check out the strength. it will give you raffle idea about what range you can expect the same complex afterwards.
Most reliable way is to use dead space probes with 256AU range and place probe at some place equally distanced from all planets. due to low strength of this probes and huge range the position of the probe within the system, or distance from probe to signature will make a little difference on result, unless you eventually place probe really close to sig.
try to move probe a bit. For example Mul-Zatah, provide signature strength 0.34-0.36 from border to border.
therefore, depending on your skills, gear and probes type and scanning implantants you may have, this figure will probably be different.
Also, in the same range there can be other types of signatures like WHs, Ladars and Radars, even gravimetric sites, witch have tendency to have weakiest signatures of all.
Bottom line: expect invest some time and effort to find plexes first and make own list of signatures range for particular DED/exploration sites.
Therefore, with sisters core probes strength around 160-170 it is matter of couple of minutes to cut out very low and too high signatures and focus on what you expect to be a jack pot.
