Trelik > Greetings Uchikage Uchikage > what can I do for you? Trelik > I have actualy requested your attention in time of need. I have recently been the target of a pirate who destroyed my Rupture and pod. I ask you if you would be willing to loan me a fair amount of ISK which once I get hunting agian I shall pay you back asap Uchikage > Why is it me you're asking, and who is the pirate? Trelik > Bobbeh was the Pirates name Uchikage > And why is it me you're asking? Trelik > And the reason I have requested for you assistance was because about a month ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of your members which we had become fair friends. When I saw you and your corp. I figured I would give it a chance. Uchikage > Which member? Trelik > Truthfuly I am not to sure of his name, I had met him on my other character, he was on my friends list but about 2 weeks ago I deleted him out of anger lol Uchikage > Well that doesn't really motivate me. Did you have insurance on your Rupture? Trelik > of course not! lol, nope didnt get insurance.. Uchikage > Trelik, you must always buy full insurance. It lasts for three months now, not three weeks. Insurance will give you what you need to buy a ship and make money back. I cannot stress enough how important insurance is. Uchikage > So what were you doing outside of 0.5 space with a two month old character anyway, in a Rupture? Trelik > I was always told that its a wast of isk to buy insurance in something so simple as a cruiser, despite what I think which is what you think hehe. Trelik > Well I was hunting in a 0.4 zone and the npc's there was too week, so I go to a 0.3 and try hunting, but.. to get to this 0.3 zone i had to go through a 0.1 zone.. which was being camped... :( Uchikage > It seems you are so ill-educated that I cannot miss this opportunity to have you learn a harsh lesson about security ratings and insurance. Giving you money would help you in the short term, but you would learn much less from this experience. Trelik > Well ummm.... Thanks? Uchikage > Quite welcome.

Many people will probably flame you for that, but I think you did the right thing. People don't learn from their mistakes if people give them an easy way out. I feel safe in saying this guy will never undock a ship without making sure it's 100% insured again.

insurance is nice. i always looked at it as: you need the first 6 or 7 mils to get the cruiser, and another 2 mils or so to buy each one after that... 8)
just gotta refit is all...
there is a fine, but dissasterous line between a fart and a shart. i suggest you make sure which side you want to be on... |

heh, aye you did the right thing I think - that is, if he wasn't an alt. If he was an alt, you still did the right thing, because you don't give money out to alts whose sole purpose is to 'borrow' money from other people
I've been in the same situation before; lost a couple cruisers without insurance. SUbsequently, You'll never find me flying an uninsured ship _______________________________ SF-C recruitment |

0.0 actually, and it took an amazing 24 seconds to lock his pod in my npc scorp.
Mimiru > It'd be a tie, the monkies nerfed pooflinger wouldnt have enough tracking to hit the parrot orbiting him, but the parrot's beak is so small it couldnt break the monkey's fur tanking. |

And he waited around for you to kill him? heh... 24 secs is time enough for dinner and a smoke and then warp off to a "safer" place. |

The only thing I have to say is when can we get modual insurance? I lost my Moa recently (My warp computer disagreed with me on what the term "warp out right-the-hell-now" means). I had insurance on the Moa, but that does'nt cover the ~12million dollars in equipment I had. (It was a very nice setup). So now I'm messing with a thorax and armor tanking. Always insure, but don't rely on it, keep some backup money.

Your 250mm 'Scout' Accelerator Cannon perfectly strikes Serpentis Soldier, wrecking for 319.4 damage. |

Yeah Trelik tried that one on me - exact same words - must be a cut and paste job.
He tried it on with everyone in the trade channel I was in - must have got through A & B before he got to me.
Isk begging - its low.

Is there really anyone who can't make 1-3mil minimum in a sitdown timeframe in 0.4-0.5 with a kessie? Maybe I'm just used to making my own way and never tried begging, but come on folks. No begging, get your frigate out and do something with it. I can't imagine the income when I am cruiser bound... |
