For those original Eve players, those who have played this game since betas and who have maintained their accounts(s) since then, I would like to see a couple of things. First a means to communicate as a founders group with CCP outside this forum arena. Second, Eve Founders should have something in their sig to reflect their committment to Eve. Something in the players image (think T2 tag on eve items).
Why?
Because Eve Founders have stuck with this game through every up and down that Eve has had. Eve Founders love the game and want to see it thrive far into the future. As a group, they have the experience and committment to Eve that CCP should be interested in listening to.

Maybe we could have "Bitter Vet" t-shirts in ambulation (or whatever the funky new hip name for it is now)?

I disagree with your proposal, however what i would like to see is some kind of vet reward system, just like most MMOs that reward players for their time played (monthly subs).
I mean if your going to bend me over for X amount a month for X amount of time, at least have the decency to make me feel appreciated by my loyal commitment to your game

What would a bitter vets-only E-O board accomplish, exactly? I really don't see a point to your idea beyond epeen waving.

You were in beta, this is your reward, you don't need anything else. I wish i was in beta too, i'm here since 4 years (yes, alt here), i stucked with this game through every up and down that Eve has had too and i love the game and want to see it thrive far into the future; you don't need to be in beta to think and feel like that.
You are not better than others, you are not a hero, you do not deserve anything more, your opinion is not more important that mine.
Being in beta is not a merit, it's a privilege, if you think you deserve something more, you are a bad person.

Thanks guys! Just what I expected to read here. You never disappoint
CSM is a good idea, but anyone elected tends to have certain groups to speak for. Eve Founders just want the game to continue to thrive. CCP has done pretty good at doing just that, but those that have been here from the begining should have a place at the table to add their perspective to Eve's direction and future. Giving EF's a place to do so out of public view just might be a good way for CCP to have a discussion that remains positive and on topic.
The forums are one approach to getting player feedback, but not the best for useful discussions as most of the post here show. But not to worry guys, chances are that this thread will rapidly fade from the first page anyway and our Icelandic CCP friends are probably still recovering from their hangovers and they will never read this anyway....

cannot see it alas, and started this fine game the first day after release in 2003.
i am content to let the game be driven by the devs, whom i still trust to make the game exciting, and have not yet fully caved into the whiners.

I would say something along the lines of "So what do you want, a medal?" but it seems that you actually do want a medal.

I like the T-shirt idea, I want a T-shirt!
In all seriousness though; as an EVE Founder all I really want to see is CCP staying true to who they have been for the past decade+, and to continue the evolution of EVE in new positive ways.
I know this, and don't need a special accolade or trinket to prove it to anyone.
Some people do like those sorts of things, and maybe CCP will want to do something special; however, we don't really deserve anything beyond what we already have in game.

But...EVE needs a retirement home!
Otherwise they'd just come here with their stories about how hard things used to be and how noobs today don't have any respect because they have things too easy. Plus it stops them from driving around at half the speed limit, with their turn signal on, randomly stopping, looking for that restaurant that hasn't existed for the last decade but had that great early bird special! And don't even get me started on them insisting on wearing highly inappropriate shorts that let way more then anyone wants to see hang out.

We already got the reward - the game for all those years.
To OP: Superfluous group. The game will be influenced the most by those who are most active/loud. Vets already had more years to be active and loud in. ;-)
Also the opinion of a player who just played for 9 months but gets the game and has reasonable ideas should not be deemed lesser than a beta vet who still doesn't understand game design/mechanics and keeps whining about some pet peeve.
Meritocracy > Gerontocracy. ;-)

6 year vet here, I agree. Though I wouldn't mind a perk, like snowballs that don't melt, or even a free t-shirt

Or....an '05er' logo on the sides of our ships Think that would draw any attention...
I had to laugh a bit at reading some of these responses. We all know that in Eve if you set yourself apart from the mob that someone in the mob will turn you into bio goo, or at least try......
Still, while I too have faith in CCP to keep the game growing, talking to the original pod pilots that are still active certaintly couldn't hurt. Who knows, maybe the old guys may have a good idea or two....

I seriously think that you are an idiot now. You are not a "FOUNDER", ridiculous. Maybe you want some kind of reward simply becouse you are failing at eve, and you think that beta players should be special. Well, you are not, face it, you were just lucky to start at the beginning, there is no honor in that, and that do not mean that your opinion is better than mine.

Dark Blood Bitter Vet t-shirt. When worn with the True Sansha leather pants, you get a +0 to nothing because ambulation is not a game.

My vote goes out to T-shirts. I have been playing EVE for less than a year, but I really wanna see all those people with "I was in beta and all I got was this lousy T-Shirt" walking around when Incarna comes out.
Yes, Ambulation is now called Incarna. No, CCP has not yet specified a release date. I expect it to change names another two or three times before the release date goes from 'When It's Ready' to 'Soon(TM)'. -----

Cool, I'd qualify for one of those too (if the 23 was real, which it wasn't, obviously, honest). I'm gonna look pimp in my Vet T-Shirt and my 23 pin ... I wonder if I could get a "Smurgleblaster" cap too?

Well, as I would qualify as an "Eve Founder" I'd have to say no. What you are detecting is "bvs" (bitter vet syndrome) which is a type of "goms" (grumpy old man syndrome). I have nothing against the introduction of "StuffÖ" as vet rewards, so long as it is worthless, non-transferable, and preferably ironic.
