Can anyone tell me the kind of range you need and if an AB is mandatory.. I never knew this was viable post torpedoe nerf.. =/
You can get 40km+ range on regular torps in a raven with rigs and max skills. The problem is torps are not considered missiles so they don't get missile bonuses from some skills and rigs. I found that you actually need to target paint a BS to get full damage in missions, which is kind of ridiculous. With a torp raven you would need another ship with you to kill cruisers otherwise your completely reliant on your drones.

a while back a poster (S****Ball?) posted a legion fit with ECCM, Command Links, and Cov-ops. Basically an unjammable, unscannable, go anywhere and not get caught command ship.
but legions suck amirite?

Oddly enough, I'd actually buy a T3 for that. I've always been a sucker for support roles.

You could do it in a HAC like the zealot or Sac if you have missile skills. Might be able to do it in a Curse though the tank won't be as reliable. As for other races, Ishtar Deimos would slaughter mission runners as well. Its not hard especially when 1/2 of them don't know how to fit their ships properly.
Some of the time, perhaps. But a zealot wouldnt survive too well vs a target painting CNR. Esp when pimped. Nor would it survive vs a webbing painting golem of doom.
The trick with catching them is not only 'tricking them' in the sense of what ship you fly and such, but also making sure you tick the boxes for your own survival. No other style of ship could do what i do.
Many Golems could tank an ishtar, and npcs. Might have yourself a stalemate. But you wont get the kill perhaps. Im garunteed the kill, whilst garunteeing ill survive.
Keep in mind, it took 3 minutes for 2 npc bs to get me to 99% armor. You can get an idea of how much of a beating i can take. A curse you say 'Curse though the tank won't be as reliable'.....It wont even come close. A curse would die in a blaze of firey death. A sac would do too little dps. My legion neuts like a curse, survives like a CBC, and deals enough dps to do the job.
