I probably can't get the time off work in mid-September (will ask in work tomorrow) but this sounds pretty awesome fun (and the Greek economy could use those tourist euros). Titans were never meant to be "cost effective", its a huge ****.-á- CCP Oveur, 2006

You guys are brutal! Only one place in the world I really want to go, and you have to pick it.
..actually, it'd be great, but I'm running up the cost of one-way and round trip flights and just that's over $1550 CAD for me. If I bump it to +/- 1-2 days it goes up. ..like flexibility on my part is an issue with an airline right.
Wish I could attend, but I'd be paying for it for the next 2-3 years I'm sure, even if it would almost be worth it, it's a little impractical for me right now. Don't know why Greece is so expensive to get to, but that might explain their financial problems; only the richest tourists may visit, and rich people are notorious for not spending money if they don't have too.
..wouldn't be rich otherwise, right?
Anyway, I know I could probably book a flight to Berlin or something and take a train across Europe for less while making it a 2-3 week trip, and still have it come out cheaper than the flight, but I've got other priorities right now that sort of preclude this, unless I happen to win a lottery. I never, (almost never), buy tickets; waste of money.
Maybe I should look at going to EVE Vegas; I want to drive a 200 Mph car and they got a track there with rentals.
Casino's in both places.. odd.
I'm sure everyone will have a great time. I would rather sit on a beach with a little house nearby somewhere around there for 3 months or so and play EVE on a laptop than visit a resort, but that's me. I understand of course, the resorts have the amenities for this sort of thing.

It's pretty cool and I'll try to be there.
People organizing this, have surely done their homework.
Time of year is ideal, place is very beautiful and the idea of a combined EVE-Dust event perfect.

OMG that sounds liek way to much fro airfare. Look again. you mentioned Berin and trains. From most european cities the airticket is under 200 euros. Only from switzerland is a bit more. |

It's always been that way here as far as I know. I'm sure there are ways to make it cheaper, but you have to arrange and book separate flights afaik. Have to make sure you time them so you can get off one plane and make your way to a departure point for the next one, and so on. I've heard trains in Europe are crowded, but much more cost effective and manageable.
Believe it or not, the cheapest flight available that I saw was 1550 of so, and the most expensive was over $6000, which is incredible for just a flight, and I think that one had something like 14 stop-overs to get there, which would be super annoying. Some might have been transfers, but I didn't look that closely and it might have been another flight anyway.
Cheap to go to the UK and sometimes Germany though, I understand. From there, it's just a matter of figuring out how to go the rest of the way. :) Auction - EVE Rogues Alliance [ROGUE]: https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=1215438#post1215438-á-á~ Latest bid: 190 million ISK. |

I really dont know if they have been planning it for 100 years or no.and im not trying to prove anything..i see the proof in front of my eyes every day.. children at schools faint from starvation...sick ppl dying without medicines..suicides.poverty.depression.....thats what you call revolting Greeks joke.... so if those ppl sent by the eu nations to help countries improve their economy are just people in business trying to get richer and the unfortunate expense that you speak about is whole nations sink...then we are all doomed..

Well not sure what your talking about about plane flight and where your from but I'm in NY. Found many Flights for under $1000 USD round-trip. The Best I found was the Wed. Before to the Thurs after the event for $826. Not bad. Now just have to figure out what the Room costs would be and any added tourist stuff I wanna do and I might just come. If I can do it for under $2500 that including some spending cash does not seem to bad. |

hmm i think you got it wrong. Or i did not understood you well. The triple room in the Poseidon resort costs you 61.5 meaning for three nights you pay 184.5 per person in a triple room for these three nights. Alone this would cost you 141 per night in a single room so 423.
Anyhow, listen. As i said if anythign seems strange or you fel the need to clarify or demend smt special, pls feel free to contact Mrs Samoili from Norstar Corporation at........ [email protected]

Got it
On the booking page at http://www.norstar.gr/summerfest2012/ people are choosing multiple rooms instead of bookign just one. The number field you can choose from is not to assign persons you will have in the room (for that you choose the room section as single-double-tripple). So for this reasson you get an overpriced booking total. Please be carefull when you do these selections. Just select the room you wish to book and al will be fine then. I must addmit i fell for this one at first too. Hope to see you at the venue all. |

Bad luck striked at me. I had a silly accident that did get my entire rigt side of the body sans hip with dislocated bones. From head to toe. It give my son more time crawling all over me and makes me an easy target to aim at with heavy toys i now regret buying for him. On the good side i god plenty f time thinking of the summerfest details now and i found a way leaning on my aquarium to be able to stand and type with a stick on the keyboard. Good thing i am not writting a book here.
Also, for this week we had pretty close to nill bookings. I remind you the roof of entries are at 1100 people and we want to see the venue filled. Not only for us, but to honor CCP T0rfifrans, Guard and Tallest as they deserve to be treated.
One more thing....
people complain for my late response t their e-mails. We got 4740 smt e-mails in 2 days with questions. Though i had an option to do a send to all generic reply i opted answerign each and every mail personaly. This is why it took about 6 days for some to get mails from us.
I did this because you are not going to a concert were faceless people are coraling you in a big pile forcing you to watch and listen. You are friends we never met, but you got facevalue for us. Wonderfull people we learned to love and that makes this game so special. And when allot of people are brining their families along and asking us about their concerns.... i am so sorry. But this just do not fit into a "Send to all" policy. We will all, and most of us me especialy, be there from day one to help you, keep you happy and make sure you leave with a smile.
But i got a question as well....
