There are a lot of cool new things with the new patch but I have noticed that the
"Control+Tab" (remove UI) has been changed to some windows alt tab menu thing for EVE.
What makes this worse is that the shortcut is 'locked' in EVE and not changeable. The
old control+tab has been moved to "Control+F9". It is a nice new thing to look
at and get used to but I must say that this should not be a locked shortcut since
I use ctrl+tab A LOT for making cool screenshots in EVE and I have almost made it
a passive habit.
I realize this isnt a final thing but I am just putting my opinion out that this should
not be a locked shortcut.

Nothing was "moved to ctrl+f9" Ctrl+F9 has always been a secondary UI hiding button.

Technically it was the primary shortcut. CTRL-TAB used to just hide the windows leaving the control console but it was changed to do the same thing as CTRL-F9 in Revelations IIRC.. or was it Exodus...
'Hiding the windows' functionality has been approximated by pressing TAB for a while now.

afaik the control + F9 was IG since Castor or Older patch and the only one that im using for a blank screen.

hell I always thought hat was the main one and crlt tan, seeing as it had more than one use, was the secondary.
Also... how did having the tab button, which moved through windows... makes sense to also be the hide UI button? That doesn't make any sense.

It's always been like this. The 'Hide Windows' was just the first option on the ctrl-tab menu. I'm not able to log into SiSi to see the current menu, however.

Hold ctrl, hit tab. Don't release ctrl. You can hit tab more times. The last option is to hide all windows (but in fact it just minimizes them, not hiding the UI completely). You can also click any option with your mouse (keep holding the ctrl!)
Open your eyes.

EVE very much needs more keyboard shortcut commands and flexibility in what key you want to assign, not the opposite. I couldn't care less about the new Ctrl-Tab menu (I can't see anybody using that for anything but maybe that's just me) but it's blocking two easily reachable shortcuts (Ctrl-Tab and Ctrl-Shift-Tab). Shift-Tab needs to be freed up as well btw. The EVE UI is bad enough, don't make it worse.

Interesting enough there is no option to restore all windows.
