Dear Rells,
I am in a 10-man social/industrial corp. We have folks working at different hours, none of us really play for more than three hours a day, all timezone around the world. Sometimes we even have three of us online at a time.
We've been wardecced by a PvP focussed corporation who has upwards of 20 players online at any one time in T2-equipped RR BS gangs beating up our hisec POS. They often have neutral characters in their blobs so we can't smartbomb them.
How do we solve this situation using less than 10 people with T1 gear?

I would load up with destroyers and frigs and take out their tacklers. Interdictors, interceptors and light cruisers are your targets. Use cheap stuff so that they cant do much to you isk wise. Kiling an interdictor repeatedly with frigates will get to them fast. They will bluster and show bravado when they pop two of your tech 1 frigs to one of their interceptors but they will know that they are losing the war.
As for the high sec pos, put on some guns and let the do the job of hitting their heavies. The POS will be murder to their heavies and the reality of eve is that you cant easily kill medium or larger poses with BS fleets. If you cant use dreads, those are VERY hard to take down. Take down your mining gear for now and put up craploads of hardeners. That will agitate them to no end.

Come on Rells, not many plans survive contact with the enemy, you should know that. You don't just need a plan, you also need the skills, experience and discipline to execute it (not just you, all of the members of your crew), as well as quick thinkers to change it if it's going wrong. So, you know, there's no sense in writing essays about how situation A needs response B, because it's all "idealized"; there's no taking into account the Human factor.

If oyu are referring to privateers alliance they couldnt PvP their way out of a wet paper bag. That is why they hang around high sec trying to kill ships of people not prepared to defend themselves. I have come up against their fleets before and it want impressive.
The same tactics I said earlier for being wardeced will work with privateers. If you convince them you will bite them and you wont play their game they will search for easier prey.

Platitudes suck. That one does equally. Plans survive if you are prepared for them to morph.
However the plan I gave is quite easy to execute. They take minimum skills for maximum effect. Honestly people like you are the reason eve has so many carebears. The constant attitude of "no, we cant, we are doomed unless CCP babysits us"

I'm not without experience myself (having played since beta) and that is why I say that discipline in executing a plan is more important than actually having a plan in the first place. Disipline takes experience, "training" and practice. I can imagine it working out ok with an experienced commander, but otherwise, it's just got FAIL written all over it. Indeed, I've been in a few fail ops and many successful ones too. The difference between the two was the fleet commander, period.

Pick off their traders, their miners, the people going to fuel the pos. Whenever a larger force shows up, vanish. Stay in small, fast and deadly ships that are geared up for hit and run attacks. Suspend any trading or mining operations yourself unless they can be done at odd hours of the night when your opponent is sleeping.
Corp B, their mining, trading, POS stuff is almost all handled by their unidentified legion of alt corps. The only ships from Corp B you ever see are their combat ones.

I was just wondering, how would you win a war against Goonswarm with only ten members and T1 equipment?
Admittedly its not likely to ever come up, but still.

Dear Rells,
Here's a hypothetical situation for you. We've wardecced this nooby indy/carebear corp and started throwing our weight around in our blobs of BS and Hacs and RR. Then all of a sudden they started warping in in fleets of destroyers and killing our tacklers and then warping out before we could inflict any kind of damage on them. ZOMG WHAT TO DO NOW?? They iz killings our expensive ships with their t1 noob-train! Moar intys? Maibe sum AFs?

Your words not mine. I see carebears as misguided tools of the game company. I see them as people that require babysitting instead of being able to act on their own to solve their own problems.

It largely depends on who you are going up against and what their organization is. Your standard high sec corps isnt going to be fighting a serious 0.0 fleet commander but more likely some rube that is more used to getting ganks off of uneducated carebears. Whenever presented with serious opposition they will be seriously outmaneuvered and out of their depth. By serious opposition I mean another force used to defeat them rahter than avoid them.
In fact most pirates count on that. At the end of a PvP-ADVANCED class I taught while in agony a group of pirates attacked a gang of 15 or so cruisers with 4 bs and some ewar and that class wiped the floor with them, killing 1 command ship 2 BS and 2 falcons; they would have had the 4th BS if that hadnt warped in a carrier with remote reps to make a shoestring catch of the 4th. The pirates were simply not prepared to deal with players prepared to fight.

So war dec the alt corps. But at any rate going on the offense is the answer. They need to fly to join the gate camp. If you pick them off on their way to and from the camp, you will seriously cause them problems. They don't want people that will kill their expensive stuff with a bunch of what they see as ****. However, you MUST have faith in yourself for it to work. AGONY has lived in 0.0 since shortyly after its inception and it has rarely had any NAPs and kills anything that moves with aggressiveness. Don't let them dictate terms. Control the situation and you will win it.

Few truer words have been spoken than that. Goonswarm are a bunch of termites. Its a shame really because it is a failure of leadership, not membership. With the right leadership they would be a formidable force. As for fighting them, it wont come up unless you are outside of 0.0 but if it did, goonswarm is a huge organization with massive amounts of members and internal strife. Fighting them is not terribly difficult unless you want to take and control space. Simpl hit their soft underbelly, their miners, producers, plex runners and annoy the crap out of them until they decide they have better things to do with their life.

Sure. Go PvP with a class or a coordinated group for a while roaming 0.0 and killign ratters and waundering ships. Get in 4 or 5 fights and you will be cured. PvP will make everything you do right now seems colorless and boring.

Learn to be sincere. That is your first goal. I will reply to you again when you learn that first. I am well aware of what you are doing. That is fine, if you want to go through your whole life being babysat by someone or another and running the treadmill others put out for you then by all means go be a tool. Dont let anyone stop you from being such a tool, a piece of flesh that will perpetually belong to whomever holls your leash. Enjoy.

Start posting :words: about how your way of playing is the right way, and that all [EVE stereotype of your liking] should be banned from the game.
Also get something to blind-fold yourself with, so that when people who disagrees with you starts posting in your thread, you can blind-fold yourself and not have to put up with all the awful people who you disregard as sad people without a life.
I can't promise that it will help with turning you into anything, actually. In fact I hope it won't change you at all.
I wish you a very good day. I sincerely hope that you enjoy your missions and PvE.

Maybe for you, but the only colorless and boring aspects of the game I find are Mining (good lord it's fricking boring!) and manufacturing (clicky, clicky, use slot blah blah... boring).
I enjoy Pvp, Missioning, market work etc equally as much. It just depends on my mood at the time. If I am angry or ****ed off, pvp suits the bill. If I am tired and just want to be mellow, the market works for me and if I am feeling a little off touch, I go mission because it doesn't require me to think and plan quite as much as PvP does.
So, I am sorry to say but your statement, at least for me is totally wrong. Somedays I want a bright, bold wild color, and some days I prefer pastels. But I enjoy most of the colors of the game. (like I said, manufacturing and mining.... I'd rather eat slugs). ------------------------------------------------

No, my friend. I have nothing but pity for someone that doesnt know the pure love of a child for their father or mother. Children are one of the greatest wonders of life. One of the greatest honors that can be attained is to have a child throw her arms aroudn you and say "i love you daddy". Anyone without that is poor no matter what they have in the bank.
