Still haven't read up on laws eh? provoking someone into an agressive action actually leaves the provoker as the responsible, so unless any real life harm is actually done then it is mearly false accusations.

I am new here but my advice about can stealing: choose system which is high security zone but on the edge of your empire, traffic there is very low and possibility of stealing your ore is very low. Till now i never had such a problems . Good luck

by the way the only thing you accomplished with your OP and subsequent Reply is to make you a Target and then an even bigger TARGET for anyone who wants some quick and guaranteed carebear tears with a good shot of a dedicated whine thread on here. Congratulations you failed eve-player mentality 101, remedial classes are forming right now.
ServantOfMask, I am afraid that you have compleatly misunderstood what freedom of speech actually means, and thereby how you are legally allowed to use it. Freedom of speech does not grant you the right to flame someone, it only grants you the right to say whats on your mind aslong as you are not intentionally attempting to hurt someone.
EDIT
Just so that you are all aware, while playing a game or writing on the internet you are still bound by the laws of your own government.
If you are talking about the First Amendment of the United States Constitution when referring to "Freedom Of Speech", it has absolutely nothing to do with posting on an internet forum.
You do not enjoy the protections of the First Amendment of the Constitution when posting on a private message forum. The First Amendment only protects you from governmental interference with your ability to "speak" on something. In other words, it means jack **** unless the United States Government is operating or legislating the operation of this internet forum.
Quote:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
In other words, the government can't tell you what you can and can't say. CCP reserves the right to dictate what you can and can't post on their forum, regardless of any laws from any other country.
Spelling is your friend by the way.

This is not a single player game and we aren't your nanny. Harden the F up."
Thank you for contacting a CCP GM through the petition mechanism.
yes I wear a helmet if IŠm driving the bike as my children needs a father and I simply dont want to risk loosing my life just because of a dull moment and my head hitting the ground thank you...beside that I honestly doubt you want to face me in real life when you canŠt hide behind your computer monitor...

That does not grant the right to harass or provoke another person mearly for that purpose. As many people have tried to tell you already, this is an MMO... Massively Multiplayer! Think about it. CCP want this to be a harsh unforgiving world where the strong prospers on account of the weak. You have two choices, continue to be a sheep or learn how to be a wolf. Your primary asset in this game is your brain, not isk, not skillpoints, not mountains of faction/officer items. Learn from your own mistakes, challenge yourself to deal with the problems you face in the game, this way you will find what it means to play EVE and why it continues to grow 6 years running. However, you might want to consider a few things, first of all; I now have one of those annoying sigs. second; you should probably move on to some more interesting things than reading this sig.

It actually doesn't mean **** other than member nations of the UN, who affirm the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, can't interfere with someone's ability to express their thoughts on a legislative/punitive level. Unfortunately it doesn't do **** for what someone can say to someone else....for some reason everyone tries to equate **** that ONLY involves governments to everything in life. Sorry, doesn't work that way...and who the **** cares what the UN has to say about anything...they're completely and utterly inept at anything they do.
There is nothing that will stop someone from calling you a moron...there are no laws that can be applied to calling someone a moron, especially on the internet.
I would love to see someone claim and prove "damages" from an argument on an internet spaceship forum, and not be laughed out of court wherever they live.

Edited by: Tenokiro on 19/10/2009 18:52:17 In law, defamation also called calumny, libel (for written words), slander (for spoken words), and vilification is the communication of a statement that makes a claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may give an individual, business, product, group, government or nation a negative image. It is usually, but not always, a requirement that this claim be false and that the publication is communicated to someone other than the person defamed (the claimant).
In common law jurisdictions, slander refers to a malicious, false and defamatory spoken statement or report, while libel refers to any other form of communication such as written words or images. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against groundless criticism. Related to defamation is public disclosure of private facts, which arises where one person reveals information that is not of public concern, and the release of which would offend a reasonable person.
It does not matter to me that you have been a moderator for SOE, what matters to me is that truth is not a defense for invasion of privacy, in other words defamation, you cannot hope to escape reality by claiming that forums are not bound by some laws beyond that of the forum owner.

Tippia - Declaration of Principles
You have to prove damages, which you won't, even if I call you ******ed, which you are. Since no one knows your real name, or is presenting it as such, and will not harm you financially etc, you would have no grounds to sue. Because I think you're ******ed, and it's an opinion, which I'm sure most people would come to the same conclusion, you being called ******ed gives you no legal standing to sue.
Invasion of privacy? Man you're bonkers, trust me, you have absolutely no idea what you are babbling Mr. Armchair Internet Spaceship Lawyer.
Oh, and stop copying and pasting from random websites that have libel and defamation of character in them, you only make yourself look stupid.

Technically speaking, if you can refer to them as "my children" then they no longer need one.
This is an often misunderstood concept. From a biological standpoint, it is a one time contribution, not a ongoing one. It is sort of like when the waiter brings over your food, and there is that ackward moment when everyone realizes that there is no reason for this person to stand around waiting for someone to ask for something but the waiter must do it otherwise people will complain about the lack of service this establishment has and demand compensation from management. It is exactly like that actually.

You know posting this will be totally futile right? Proving they are idiots with stuff like this just makes them more sure of their rightness.
