How long can a Gallente Control Tower last in reinforced mode?
According to my calculations, it should be able to last a maximum of 41 hours 36 minutes.
Strontium Bay Capacity: 50000m3 Strontium Volume Per Unit: 3m3 Therefore, Max Strontium in bay: 16666 Strontium Per Hour: 400 So, 16666/400 = 41.66 = around 41 hours 36 minutes.
Is this correct? One of my friends said that only non-faction towers last longer than 24 hours?

Edited by: Johnny Dexter on 21/10/2009 11:20:37 Your numbers should be correct and faction towers can stay in reinforced for up to 2.5 days if I remember correctly. |

And longer if you have strontium in a hangar array and a pilot to refill the tower

Thought once it went into reinforced mode you couldn't add or remove anything from the fuel or stront bay until it comes out.

That's what I've heard as well ------------------------------------------------ You either need a punch up the throat or a good shag.
Nobody round here is offering the second one therefore your choices are limited! |

Once the shield goes past 50% you cant change the stront.

This is correct. I've had my own POS into reinforced before, and this is what happened.
Just wondering if my calculations are correct, and if there are different rules for faction / non-faction towers? |

To clarify: Starbase fuel level can not be changed while the shield is in reinforced mode. The shield cannot be repaired while it is in reinforced mode. Refuel after reinforcing may happen once the tower runs out of strontium and is repaired to at least 50 % shields.
So with a well-timed strontium amount you likely could technically alarm-clock the tower back to the level where it can be refueled with a small fleet, assuming you wouldn't want to properly repair it all the way up, and then let it regenerate the shields until it's re-shot into reinforced mode or gets full shields by natural regeneration.
