You may get better results by switching the 3rd boost amplifier to cap recharger 2.

If it's NPCing in a Raven, a Large Shield Booster II is just fine. Lower fitting requirements and more shield return per cap point than an XL C5-L mean that the pile of XL C5-L's that I have gather dust in my hangar.
A Raven at close range, outfitted with cruise missiles, can take down the BS rats quicker than any other BS that I've seen. I have no problems taking down a 1.5mil Seraphim with 2 1mil Warlords solo. Since I'm close range, it's easy to pickup the loot afterwards as I'm right beside the cans when they drop. An earlier poster was quite correct when he stated that if you make your own cruise missiles, you can easily keep yourself supplied with them by recycling the loot you get.
Negatives are that Ravens must get to close range or the BS rats' defender missiles really eat up the missiles that you're firing.
Torps, while NPCing, are really a waste of money. Triple the mineral requirements to build for only 50% more damage. Save them for PvP, I'd say.

last time i tried nos on NPC they wouldn't work...did it change?
The prob with using a Raven for NPC hunting lies in their usage of defender missles! Consider it!

NPC have unlimited Cap, so you can drain cap, but you cant suck them dry
2 nos will devastate any frig that comes close. I lost a scorp last evning, just because you remain under the effect of a module even when the ship and the module is gone. Frigs that scrambled me died. 2 cruise + nos = boom Then 3 ravens warped on top of me ----------------------
I wanna tuc tuc .. |

For the mid slots, would you recommend the shield hardeners that have to be activated (50% res) and drain cap or rather the passive ones (32.5%, not sure anymore) that drain no cap?

Active shield hardeners are WAY, WAY better than passive ones. A 50% active hardener halves the damage you take, a 33% passive only takes it down by a third. Their cap usage is largely irrelevant.
