i'll point what you did wrong:
1) HAIL ammo. you are never supposed to engage an enemy at hail range (AKA WEB-SCRAM RANGE) NEVER. your cynabal will just die
2) 2 LSE and 1 INVUL you need ressists not just flat hp. assuming you got logi your ressists help a lot more than flat hp after all you are supposed to be SPEED TANKING, not SHIELD tanking
3) you NEED BARRAGE, you are supposed to engage the enemy and his friends at 24-30KM. a webbed/scramed cynabal is a dead cynabal.
TL;DR
get a cane, get fitting and flying experience ====> fly cynabal and enjoy
no you are not ready for it. |

I think OP is trolling, tbh.

If you want to really be speed tanking, take a dualprop cynabal setup and throw in some Rapiers or Curses in your gang. An invul is still a shieldtanking module.

Not really, the Cynabal with a standard fit and skills gets some 28km falloff with close range ammo. That's more then enough, not to mention the extra tracking and dps you get from it in case you run into some close scenarios.

Flying a Cane won't teach you anything about flying a Vagabond and/or a Cynabal, if you want to get experience to fly a Cynabal properly you should train on a Stabber. Cane uses a completely differently flying style.
And again, he was probably trolling. I mean, come on, Hail?

Replace one LSE with an invuln, I don't care if you have logi or not, you have more tank that way even if it's turned off. Also replace one extender rig with an EM resist rig for basically the same reason. You're bound to get hit with EM damage sooner rather than later regardless of where you fly. Other than that you have the right idea. I advise against hail however, the loss of falloff far outweighs any tiny theoretical point blank dps gain. RF PP is the standard ammo with barrage for longer range use. It's not a bad idea to carry fusion and EMP as well. |

- Consider fitting an anti-kinetic shield rig (T2 if possible), there is a s..load of Drakes out there. - Invul is a must, you can overload it if s.. hits the fan. - Dual-prop can be a good idea.
Cynas are nice, but I personally prefer the dual-prop vaga over it with 425s and T2 anti-kinetic rig. Use faction shield extenders and combat booster to reduce your sig. Also, thermal faction ammo rules, less tanked against.

No idea why everyones so focused on the hail, it's ammo, surely you all keep more than one kind in cargo? Or are you implying changing ammo in space is to hard and needs to be made easier?
OP; You've quite obviously gone after the standard cookie cutter cynabal and made pretty much no alterations. That is fine, assuming the rest of the gang is of no use for you. Exactly how to fit it in details would be impossible to say. What does your gang consist of?
A scout and a t3 booster? Great, I can't think of that many changes I would do(Dual prop, dropping the nano and DC II etc, but really a matter of taste rather than anything else)
17 scimitars and a bunch of AC-maelstroms? Uhm, drop all your mids for resistances, and reconsider your choice of ship.
14 supercaps? Fit a cyno?
etc etc... If you really are clueless about the rest of your gang, going with a cookie cutter solo cynabal is fine, as that's pretty much how it will be flown anyway. |

It's tainted by the fact that a) mostly EFT warriors use it to get the elusive "max deeps" figure and b) you literally have to jump through hoops to come up with a scenario where it's practically better due to likely resist profiles and tracking penalties. |

No doubt. Then again it's completely irrelevant what ammo you use to compare one cynabal setup to the next while in EFT as all the cynabal setups will most likely have the same types of ammo with them. If you switch from hail to barrage on all of them, or to RF EMP/PP/Fusion doesn't really matter as it's all just there to give an index. |
