Poor Intaki... on one hand, you have Caldari well-wishers planting the seeds of goodwill toward the State in the minds of a society that is rather vulnerable to such suggestion right now and on the other hand you've got Gallente shills struggling to remind you of the "peace" they brought and incite you toward rioting and open violence against Caldari interests... not that there's anything wrong with violent resistance, mind you.
The Intaki should keep in mind at all times that the State is occupying your space and the Gallente allowed them to do so; there's your "goodwill" and your "peace" (and look where Gallente peace has gotten you). Instead of trying to incite the Intaki to fight against one side or the other, anyone who really cares for the future of Intaki would be urging them to look after their own, now more than ever.

Originally by: Diana Kim I would suggest all rational Intaki to find this flame started and dispose of her for their own good. Who, if not Caldari, will rebuild their system? Who, if not Caldari, will transport goods to their system? Who, if not Caldari, will lead them to prosperity? Who, if not Caldari, will protect them from pirates? Who, if not Caldari, will free them from pernicious Gallente influence? And now there are appeals for terrorism and sabotage, that will prevent restoration of the system and will cause more devastation and calamities... Think twice! CONSIDER
Rebuild their system? In the Caldari image? Transport only Caldari goods to their system? Lead them to profitability for the State and call it prosperity? Protect them from the same pirates that who assisted the State Protectorate to begin with? Protect them from 'pernicious' Gallente influence by replacing same with Caldari influence?
Don't pretend to be at all concerned with the welfare or future of the Intaki people.

Originally by: Diana Kim Still, the Caldari 'image' turned to be the most effective. Look around.
They are a part of the State now. Our prosperity is their prosperity. Their prosperity is our prosperity.
If pirates work for us, we don't mind it, while they are working for us instead of piracy, thus we shot two ducks with the one shot
Originally by: Havohej Protect them from 'pernicious' Gallente influence by replacing same with Caldari influence?
For their own good, of course ^_~ You see, there should be influence.
Originally by: Havohej Don't pretend to be at all concerned with the welfare or future of the Intaki people.
Now Intaki are Caldari too.
I began to respond to you point by point, but I quickly realized that you had highlighted all of my arguments for me, and quite nicely at that. There is no better way to demonstrate the State's self-serving interests and how same have nothing to do with wanting a better future for Intaki than to have a Caldari say it.

Originally by: Aria Jenneth She represents us in a slightly more well-meaning manner than Vall Kor represents the Matari or Haraldhardrade represents the Amarr, but she's about as representative a representative.
Oh rest assured, Aria, I'm well aware of Pilot Kim's lack of authority. Even so, I'm pleased to let her words influence public opinion... and perhaps help them along here and there. I'm sure you'll understand I've got my reasons for wanting to see a resolute and self-determined Intaki... even if I'm not in a position to personally lend autocannons to their cause.

Originally by: Diana Kim At first, I believed that you did understand me. And indeed, State is serving its interests, and, of course, interests of its people. But then you dare to say right opposite. I wonder did you read that I have written above? Should I repeat it? Two times more? Three? This is our system now. THIS is our system now. This IS our system now. This is OUR system now. This is our system NOW (and you can do nothing with it). How many times should I write it so you can understand? And we take care of what is ours. Because it is OURS. And because we can. Still didn't get it? Should I repeat one more time?
You keep getting better and better. Welcome them, Intaki. Welcome your new Caldari overlords.

Originally by: Jakiin The Caldari State and the Minmatar Republic are both called such because their respective terms for the people were not based off of any one bloodline, but a collective term for all the planet's inhabitants, so when they broke off from the Federation and Empire it made sense for them to referr to themselves as such.
The Minmatar Republic did not 'break off' from the Amarr Empire. It was formed when the Minmatar rose up and pushed you out of what had previously been the Minmatar Empire.
But you already knew that.
It's interesting to see this all playing out, though, this Intaki situation... while it's not anywhere near as extreme, there are undeniable parallels.

Anyhow, I donĘt want to speculate on obvious matters, and I would prefer to draw my gun as an argument instead. Too bad I canĘt use this feature here :/ But in your case I would prefer not just drawing a gun, but making a shot too.
Open your eyes, she's right; you ARE being played, but not just by Havohej.
Don't take their word for it, though, Pilot Kim. By all means... do continue to explain what's what to these silly Intaki.

As if the Gallente news media would want accurate reports of what's happening on Intaki getting out and lending support to the Intaki's cause. Of course The Scope would report that there are in fact no planetside hostilities on Intaki Prime!

Edited by: Havohej on 25/10/2009 23:25:15 Do I choose to take the word of an Intaki over the word of self-interested Caldari or Gallenteans as to what is happening planetside at Intaki Prime? Why, yes. Yes I do.
e: It'll take more than ad hominems (I don't know your name, so you must be lying) to refute these claims.
