BigBobbom	Posted - 2009.10.29 19:16:00 - [1] I personally have never ratted angle rats or done their plexes, so most of the setups Ive tried to put together have failed pretty terribly. While I was doing guristas, A mixed shied/speed tank was more than enough to do 8/10 plexes without an issue, but now that same setup will probably get me killed pretty fast. I can also fly drakes and ravens and dommies if they would fair better, but I like using HACs because their more agile and can get out of trouble faster. Any help mighty ships and modules can give would be greatly appriciated

Basically, you'd be setting it up just as you start, passive shield tank, I mainly used an invuln and an explosive harderner. Not sure regarding ab/mwd, probably used on some but not all. It is however rather slow. Basically, a Raven would be better for most, thanks to the extra damage output, the ishtar is handier to move around. Parrots, commence! Postcount: 257859
Precisionist	Posted - 2009.10.29 19:33:00 - [3] I would think a exp hardener and a invul and 2 LSE t2's with a AB would be sufficient. LG halos or snakes to help out with the damage as well. A few medium rails if you can fit it in tops with t2 sentry drones and maybe 1 shield ext rig and 1 sentry drone dmg rig, not quite sure here, i am kind of looking at a setup for this myself.

People Eater Gun Metal Priests	Posted - 2009.10.29 21:41:00 - [5] With higher level Angel rats spewing out all sorts of damage types, EM, Thermal, in addition to explosive and kinetic, don't expect an Ishtar to tank a difficult Angel complex. As for belt ratting, well that's not a threat for an Ishtar's passive tank even with zero EM resists :o) Your best bet for the complexes is a Domi tank

You should pretty quickly pick up what kind of npcs deal EM damage and remove them. Personally, I've had far more success in an ishtar than a domi. Parrots, commence! Postcount: 972672

The only thing you have to worry about is stasis towers/webbing elite frigs. Burn away from em as your drones kill em. (Id suggest getting aggro beforehand though so your drones dont die). Once anything that webs u is down, you've got nothing to worry about just orbit ur sentry drones. Your fast enough to minimize the majority of bs damage and since you arent a shield tanker, your sig is relatively small. After elite frigs are down kill the elite cruisers target painting you with Garde IIs if you want. Work your way up in size, cruisers > bc > bs. Any elite frigs that spawn must die or they'll web ya and the bs orbitting you will be able to track. Youve got a good buffer to not get instapopped in 0.0 plexes too. The high guns are just there to get aggro, probe launcher, salvager n cloak make this an ideal ship for deep 0.0 probe n plex.
