I am looking forward to the winter expansion. I just hope they do it right, and provide meaningful content and not just new shoes. Eve has very loyal fans (for which they are very very lucky) but continued neglect of the real game is testing this loyalty more each day.
They better hope some game company doesnt come out with a Pay Less More Shiney shoe shop. Cause all these new subscribers they are hoping to enroll with WiS, will be easily enticed elsewhere.

Looking forward to next expansions but honestly waiting my hybrids and wallente stuff fix more than everything else.
I don't think that much pilots use supers while hybrids ... but yes Hybrids can't harm anyone even by millions while just a few supercaps can.

Pessimism is high. 4-5 expansions where things got progressively worse. I was excited for Dominion until I realized that it was just going to entrench the established alliances even more. I was excited for Tyranis until I tested PI on SISI (whatever happened to the option of ruling with benevolence or tyranny?), and saw what sh*t spacebook actually is. I was excited for the post-tyranis refactoring until I realized that post-refactoring client performance was not going to be repaired afterwards. I was excited for incursions until I realized they were launched as a griefing tool (I since went back to them and enjoyed them successfully, but since stopped because there are no longer any worthwhile goals in EVE.) I was excited for portraits until I realized that CCP wanted everyone to be clones of eachother, not of themselves (talk about uninspired artists) and that it was never ever ever going to be made not-sucky, or optional. I was excited for Incarna for about 30 seconds until the DuDu version finished downloading, and losing all hope of portraits ever not sucking again.
Am I excited for Winter? Not really, because all the sh*t that's been dumped on us is still sh*t. If Winter aims to repair Dominion, at this rate it'll be another 5 years before the rest of the sh*t is repaired, by which time I won't be sad if EVE has been shut down. |

Here is how to detect a CCP alt:
Anyone who won't hop on your bandwagon, no matter if the herd is jumping off a cliff or not.
That's the general criteria I see from almost everyone who constantly points out people they think must certainly be CCP alts.
I have had people do it to me, and I am just as critical of CCP as anyone else, I just would prefer to be constructive about it and give CCP the benefit of the doubt and work WITH them rather than AGAINST them, as opposed to throwing a big tantrum, flinging my sippy cup across the room, and shredding the wallpaper with my fingernails like a two year old.

Nothing official has been announced. Only "it's gonna be so cool we promise, please-don't-cancel-your-subs-because-we're-barely-starting-work-on-it-so-close-to-launch-date-and-have-no-idea-what's-actually-gonna-be-in-it."
We're supposed to get a dev blog this week, one that was supposed to be more interesting than either that got published today (who cares about what new lighting stuff you're adding to a "feature" nobody uses or likes without qualification.) |

Besides the useless lighting crap, all the rest was announced before. Old news. Sure, dev blog confirmation isn't exactly bad, but even then being excited because someone rips something violently away from you and then says "oh yeah, you'll get it back some day" shows extremely low expectations from both parties. |

Fixed for you :) That's a pretty cool role in you're job description. you might even iterate the idea into new Eden to become a witch/vampire hunt " in space" mini game, I'd suggest this should take place within anomalies. Lets implement that for the winter expansion, why should CCP employees get all the fun of hunting down the CCP alts. No fair!!! :P Thanks for replying though Fallout. Most will see that you have actually considered "players" concerns then get paranoid yourself and take time out of you're day to make sure they aren't actually correct, rather than brush it off with a "this could never happen my company are not even human I couldn't possibly think for myself :)

Not to mention that posting on "DevAlts" is basically a deception tactic, and I doubt CCP really stands to gain anything from such tactics. (Plus, I'm sure there are rules barring it, in general, when dealing with sensitive issues.) |
