Hello dear EVE Players!
On the official EVE homepage one can read something about a -50% cloaking targeting delay bonus for the Arazu (maybe for all force recons, haven't checked). Can somebody confirm this? I am aware of the cloaking delay bonus which comes with the cloaking skill.
I also noticed that the Lachesis has a -95% CPU need bonus for CovOp cloaks. Nothing of this is mentioned in the text, or can be found ingame. Are these just relics from old versions?
Maybe someone can answer my questions

Per the ship description:
Recon Ships Skill Bonus: 20% bonus to warp disruptor range and -96% to -100% reduction in Cloaking Device CPU use per level.
The description also mentions how it can use the covops cloak, which has a 10s (base) recalibration time compared to 20–30s for the normal cloaks, so that's probably the targeting delay bonus you're talking about — it comes from the cloak, not the ship. In addition, since the covops cloak requires Cloaking IV, which gives -10% delay per level, you won't ever see a targeting delay of more than 6s from a covops cloak. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Hi thanks for your reply!
I'm not sure if you fully understood my question. I am referring to the ship information on the official EVE homepage (see Item Database > Ships) If you scroll down, you'll find what i'm talking about. I cannot fly recon ships, so cannot test it myself

Is it the last one you are referring to? Because if it's the first, that refers to the Cyno generator duration. The last one I'm not really sure of, to be honest. Logically, if you have Cloaking V, the duration for the targetting delay is already 5 seconds (-50% from 10 seconds). Maybe this simply means that you'll have a 5 second delay no matter what?
Alas, I can't fly recons (yet), so I can't test it either.

Recons do have the targeting delay, based on the cloaking skill, and is 5 seconds at cloaking 5. ----------- ADM-I |

Thanks for the replies!
It remains a bit unclear what is meant with those 5 seconds, but when the cloaking delay is based in the cloak, then it will indeed be 5 sec with cloaking on V.
The same remains for the Lachesis...

I think I found it.
The 5 sec could mean the cloak REACTIVATION delay.

Yes the reactivation on normal cloaks is a bit longer.

The covert ops cloak has a "Sensor Recalibration Time" of 10 seconds, and every level of the cloaking skill reduces that by a second. So at cloaking V, you have to wait 5 seconds before you can target anything. The other cloaks have different times you have to wait. For stealth bombers, the recalibration time is 0, so you can lock immediatly after uncloaking.
To recloak, you need to wait 30 seconds (for all variations).

Perfect answer, right up to the point of the recloaking bit. A covert ops fitted ship can recloak quite fast, 3 seconds or so (but not sure on the bomber, that one could be somewhat different just as it has no targeting delay). ----------- ADM-I |

Smokescreen covops cloak is a smidge faster btw.
