Of the two, Vengeance is the only one with an inkling of PVP relevance. With its one midslot and hilariously crap firepower, whoever balanced the Retribution's final stats should be put in a home for the mentally infirm or some form of anti brain-worm clinic.

Of the two, Vengeance is the only one with an inkling of PVP relevance. With its one midslot and hilariously crap firepower, whoever balanced the Retribution's final stats should be put in a home for the mentally infirm or some form of anti brain-worm clinic.

True but guess what, a Vengeance does even less damage then a Malediction, which in turn does less damage then a Crusader.

True but guess what, a Vengeance does even less damage then a Malediction, which in turn does less damage then a Crusader.

All those assault ships are frigate killers...
I personally would use retribution... with setup something like this...
4x medium pulse laser II
1x webifier (or warp scrambler/disruptor.. but i don't think tracking would be sufficient for killing interceptors without them being webbed)
3x energized adaptive nano membrane II or 3x armor hardeners (i think membranes would be better here... but it should be tested)
1x small armor repairer II
1x heat sink II
... capacitor shouldn't be a problem since ship has heavy bonus for it..
With such setup you could tank any cruiser and quite few interceptors...
Vengeance is much more difficult to fit... with 3medium slots you could go with 10mn AB (note: MWD is a big NO-NO on assault frigates) but your speed wouldn't be that impressive, and it wouldn't really help you that much.
That being said..
PVE - retribution deffinitelly
PVP vs cruisers - retribution
PVP vs other frigates/interceptors - vengeance

you are so wrong, these ships are meant to stop enemy frigates to scramble your battleships.
Retribution is MUCH better at this and can take a lot more beating before going down. |

you are so wrong, these ships are meant to stop enemy frigates to scramble your battleships.
