The info on these mods are a little strange. In the description it says that you can use it on a friendly ship to boost their turret range and tracking speed. But the stats aren't all that impressive. You can give em 5-6% more range and 10-12% better tracking speed. Is this as useless as it seems, or are there a secret to using these effectively?

secret: scorpion with 8 of these + scorpion with 8 sensor links + any other BS with 6-8 guns = insta frig killer.

well sure, but a scorpion should be an insta frig killer on it's own. You could warp scramble and web 4 frigs at a time, and send each there own personal torp.

well sure, but a scorpion should be an insta frig killer on it's own. You could warp scramble and web 4 frigs at a time, and send each there own personal torp.

After it takes you 30 seconds to lock them you mean ? Let alone getting em all to come within webbing range of you.
You would become an easy target that way.
Tracking links are one of the worst modules around tbh. Not many people bother putting them on scorps, or any other ship for that matter.

fit 4 T2 tracking links on a scimitar and boost a BS with it. uber range, uber tracking.
A BB with 6 of them also helps, and is more cost-efficient. the boost it gives is of course ridiciolous compared to the scimitar.
