So, i am sure this has been discussed before but i am just curious.
If you put an ishkur against a jaguar, perfectly fitted to combat each other, same skill level pilots, who would win?
To my understanding the ishkur and jaguar are the best AF out there, or at least the most popular.
Even if the jaguar does look far cooler.

Ishkur will win assuming same skill level pilots (both sp and real skills) and standard fits.

Question is what is standard Jaguar fit, double or single extender, AB or MWD. The answer is not as easy as that I fear. The power of the Jaguar is that you can fit it in such an insane amount of equally viable ways, great ship.
A single extended full tackle Jaguar has enough buffer and recharge to be able to ignore drones entirely and kill the ship before getting threatened, full tackle means blasters are kited, rails are tracking tanked .. a lot of speed difference on base speeds alone.
The dual extender Jaguar might die to a manually flown blaster ishkur, but it is a pain to wear down the buffer even without recharge.
Bottom line: Fits and individual piloting skills determine outcome. AF fights are among the most enjoyable there is, lasts long enough for micromanagement to matter but short enough to not get tedious

I wouldn't make any assumptions about the outcome of a Ishkur vs Jaguar fight.

Also, the projectile buff is coming and may add another 20+ DPS to Jaguars that use ACs..

The Ishkur is a wonderful choice. Just as good or better than a Jag over all. Just make sure you get your drone skills up. And don't be afraid to fit a web.
BTW its not that big of a deal to cross train to Minmatar. You can have the skills to fly Jag/Wolf with T2 guns in like a month or so if I remember correctly(not counting the shield skills needed for a Jag; dunno if you have them or not).
