Hi, Is there a resource where I can find what each salvaged item will provide when reprocessed? I've tried the item database for the salavge items and that doesn't have the info. Cheers N

Thanks for the helpful response. Obviously, as a newbie, I am confused about the purpose and role of these forums.
Take care N

You don't reprocess Salvaged items, they are components for rigs. I'm not sure if you can reprocess them even, but DON'T. Sell them as they are or buy rig BPs and make rigs. ______________________ Isn't it time you learned to fight back? Agony Unleashed Home of the PvP University.

Thanks. I was wanting to obtain some of the rarer minerals, and thought I'd read somewhere that they're often contained in salvage material. Your reply suggests I may be better to just sell the salvage and then use the ISK to buy the minerals on the market. Thanks very much N

There is something like what you are thinking of. They are called alloys and there are a variety of different types. They are common drops on missions vs Rogue Drones. They refine into minerals. Hope this helps.

Thanks. Yes, I have picked up some of those ... maybe I am confusing them (gleaming crystal etc) with the other salvage items (smashed-up trigger unit etc). Lots of confusion and very steep-learning-curve at the moment Cheers N

The confusion has to do with your terms.
Salvage = items gained through the use of a salvager module on a ship.
Everything else is just loot, drops, or modules.
As for a database to tell what each module breaks down into, no such thing exists. All you can do is select the item and get a reprocess quote from the station. You can write these values down if you want (or program a fancy spreadsheet app if you know how to program) and keep a database, but not much of a value in that really.

Terminology is your enemy here - at least you're asking the right questions and you'll get the hang of it soon enough.
Loot - stuff you pull out of a wreck by moving close to the wreck and opening it. Include Drone Alloys (gleaming alloy, plush compound, etc,), modules, ammo, etc.
Salvage - requires you to run a salvage module against the wreck - includes things like alloyed tritanium bars, armor plates and smashed trigger units.
To help sort out all your stuff and keep track of the approximate value, you can use a tool like EveHQ
Something like this will keep track of everything - you need to enter your API code and it will download your assets up to once every 24 hours. Using this tool, (and doing a regular price download from Eve-Central into EveHQ), it will quickly tell you if you should sell the item or reprocess for minerals.

Actually it does: EVE MEEP
Very useful tool.
I should add that it's amazing how people can be major idiots with some new guy with questions about the hardest MMO out there.
N, if you need any help or clarification send me a PM online.
Good luck.
