Hey guys, hope this is correct forum.
Wondering what implants I can put in my head to make using a freighter less painful. There is that Warp Speed + 15% mod ... any others that might help?

There's the alignment implants from the Thukker tribe I believe, they should help you to get into warp quicker. Other than that I dont believe there's anything that can help im afraid.

considering they were almost exclusively sold to titan pilots should be interesting to see what the price does.

Thats an excelent point, with the death of the driveby DD the market for these could go either way.

Looked up the Nomad implants, yeah those would definitely help. I will hold off and see how nomad implants are effected by Dominion. Thanks for the tip guys.

I happen to read XKCD as well and was very tempted to include a link to that very comic but I was quite sure he was in fact not trolling :P

Yay! Grammar battles!
Dominion affects implants. If it effected them, nomads would not exist before hand. (In your XKCD example, he meant "Our politics bring about the situation.")
You might mean: "Dominion may effect a price drop in nomads."

Webbing when at the gate insta-warps you because there's no alignment issues when decloaking on gate, just getting up to speed. Webbing when undocking or anywhere else besides uncloaking at a gate runs into alignment issues, and webbing only helps a little there.

Nomads have already taken a dive. Sets used to go for 5b easy, now you're lucky to sell a set for 2b before the contract expires.

It takes the same amount of time to align to anywhere from a complete stop. There is no alignment when you are not moving. Align time only exists when you are already moving.
This is why it is faster to come to a complete stop when ejected from a station at high speed, then warping to wherever you want to go. The only time this is slower is if the gate is right in front of you upon undocking, which has never happened to me.
Oh, and if you are leaving Jita 4-4, please don't be a noob and cause a bumping-fest. Rather, insta-warp straight ahead (not zero, but pick a distance at random) to one of the many moons and planets, and then stop and warp to a gate from there.

as webs are now 60% you have to let them get up to ~40% speed, or use multiple webs

Edited by: Aarin Wrath on 21/01/2010 04:29:48 Well I finally got the money together to get a Hardwiring - Eifyr and Co. 'Rogue' HY-2. I have put it into my head in my current clone.
But ....
Seems I am still only doing 0.8 AU a second in my freighter. Do these units not have any effect on freighters?
(Sorry to necro abit here .. and you grammar ****s can bite me)
Stealth edit: this unit does seem to have an effect on any other ship I fly. Well, havent checked an Orca yet.

The freighter warp speed is without the implant 0.6 AU/s if I remember correct.

Not in eve atm so all I have is EFT: (so this could be wrong)
Warp Speed for a Fenrir: 0.8 Au/sec Fenrir With the implant: 0.9 au/sec
Am I missing something?
