I have a XFX Radeon HD 4850. I'm regretting I have it now. This one is a replacement of the first one, the first one eventually bugged out and would randomly freeze and show lines across the screen, so I contacted Newegg who I bought it from and got a replacement. It's been 2 months now and it's starting to do the same thing.
It's bugged out 5 times now today just like I explained above. I run at 1920 x 1080 on Windows 7, with the latest drivers for the GFX card (9.1). My PSU is a ULTRA 750w ATX PSU. Can anyone help me with this issue?
If all else fails and I have to resort to my last option (buying a new gfx card), Would this be a good choice? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102858 It's currently sold out, but by the time I would have the money to pay for a new one, I'm sure there would be more in stock.
I appreciate any help by anyone. I'm getting extremely frustrated because I don't have a job and I'm at college currently, Freshman year.

Wow dejavu .
I had the same thing happen to me also with an XFX card cept mine was an 8600 GT and now I got a 9600 GSO hopefully this one doesn't mess up on me.
Unfortunately nothing can be done except either bake it from what trustworthy joe said or simply get a new one.

Trying this method. I don't have anything to lose. I will post pics and results this weekend after I can get some Thermal paste to reapply the heatsink.

Thats what people get for buying XFX. Sapphire ftw.
Heard some miracle stories from baking it, can't hurt to try.
5770 is slightly worse currently than a 4870. Which isn't bad for its price and power consumption. Plus the 5770 overclocks very nice. Oh god how did this get here I am not good with computer |

Crap, I just bought a XFX 4870 a few weeks ago. Oh well, at least I have a 2-year warranty for it.

I'd always suggest running with interval set to 1 , this way it won't over stress a badly cooled GFX card -- 3 Titans Lottery EB | Capital |
