so, situation: mining fleet, all from the same corp, someone comes and steels from a jetcan of one of the miners.
questions:
1. corp mate (not in a fleet with miners) can come and shoot the one who stole without concord intervention?
2. corp mate (not in a fleet with miners) can come and shoot the corp mate of the one who stole (not in a fleet together) without concord intervention?
3. corp mate (not in a fleet with miners) can come and shoot the fleet member of the one who stole without concord intervention?
4. a) only pilots from mining fleet can shoot the one who stole? b) pilots from mining fleet can shoot anybody from aggressing fleet? or aggressing corp?
thanks.

1. yes, if you mean by corp mate of the miners, if someone steals from your can everyone in your player corp regardless on if they are in fleet or not can shoot him.
2. no you can only shoot the one who steals, unless his corp mate starts helping him via remote repping or such, then he is shootable.
3. no
4. If the miners in the mining fleet are in the same player corp all can aggress the can flipper, if they aren't then only the owner of the can's corp can engage him. Only the thief can be targeted, unless his corp members provide assistance. ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Simply:
The can belongs to the corp of the player who dropped the can (provided it's a player corp, not an NPC corp).....therefore if it's stolen from the whole corp can shoot the thief.
The thief steals as an individual, so therefore you can only shoot that individual, not his corp.
Fleets have nothing to do with anything in can flipping, except that fleet mates can take from each other's cans without being flagged. ______________________ Agony Unleashed is proud to support TeaDaze for CSM |

1. yes 2. no 3. no 4.a) no 4.b) no
Anybody can come and support the aggressor. If anyone supports the aggressor you are free to shoot him too. If you shoot someone that supports the aggressor he can fire back. Corp or fleet members of the aggressor can not help him by shooting you unless the above is true.

Edited by: Dex Timor on 06/11/2009 09:19:48 Hmm,
I'd say: (provided you didn't change the colors in your overview settings) 1) If it starts flashing red on your overview, it can be shot at by you. 2) If it's not red flashy and you're in high-sec, don't shoot. (But you can shoot your corpmates instead.) 3) If it's flashy red or might go flashy red don't repair it in high-sec.
On a side note, good ore-thieves align themselves before they steal and may have warp core stabs fitted. Switch from mining into jetcans to secure containers as soon as a neutral ship comes to your belt. Or at least have an industrial ready to pick up the can right away. If you're willing to fight just for the fun, equip more then one ship with warp disruptors / scramblers. Bigger ships can be bumped out of warp alignement by very fast smaller ships, if you start doing so right away (before their ship initiates warp).
