Not really the best way to recruit in the New Citizens forum
But I will let it slide since Agony and REd vs Blue are excellent ways to learn the ins and outs of pvp

Eve-Uni, when recruiting, will also give you training (unlike Red and Blue which it seems just leave you to it), but Agony doesn't require switching corps so is my personal favourite of the two. You can find general help and support for PVP, and weekly lowsec frigate roams that are open to all, in the ingame channel 'Mentors'.

Edited by: Zartanic on 05/11/2009 17:25:10 Yes they all offer different game play. CCP seem to be keen to get players into PVP but when you look at the stickies at the top of these forums there is no obvious link to the resources available. A list of Corps suitable for totally new players along with a brief description would be very useful. (not just for PVP either) The corp recruitment forum is ironically a bad tool for this as any adverts are bumped off the page in no time and there is no sorting at all. There should be a smarter way to get information to new players than that.
I would hope once this ingame browser starts there may be a resource for corps to use. Any corp looking for recruits simply ticks boxes according to what it does and what it is looking for and that can be used to filter.

Thanks for the vote of support.
But this is definitely not one of our recruitment ads. We're actually recruiting more experienced PvPers and don't generally recruit new citizens, so trying to recruit in this forum would be counter-productive.
Our courses, however, are open to all. New citizens are definitely welcome to enrol - you don't need to change corps to attend (unless your corp forbids you to join an Agony gang - it's rare but happens).
Most importantly the pre-requisites for our Basic PvP course are so low that a new player of even a week or two could easily meet them. ______________________ Agony Unleashed is proud to support TeaDaze for CSM |
