I found adding the API to be a vastly annoying experience. What you need to do is zoom the screen out so the lines are physically only two lines, not three. Then copy the entir of the two lines including the username and password header text.
so your copying:
Username: 34234234235 AIP: 324232355
Then switch to the other application and it will read it.
Something like this (is no good): Username: 3254234 AIP: 343242342343
thx for the help...
but nothing works...the next button remains unusable.
maby its the phone itself.. some aps wont work on it due to the screentype.
im just guessing here tho :) . Jack of all trades, master of none...

Make sure you're using the GMAIL app (under all programs) instead of the HTC mail app. I had similar issue. I think the Aura app itself monitors the GMAIL client. so using a different mail client may not work. (aura needs to be running in the background - so make sure its ignored on the task killer if u're using one at the time, clicking on the link in gmail app should trigger aura to import it)
thx for this tip...this one did the trick :D
it work now Jack of all trades, master of none...

Edited by: coolzero on 13/09/2010 21:08:31 seems to be a update out for this app :)
free bumb for a great app... love it and works great on my htc wildfire
Aura 0.8.0 is now available on the Android Market.
NOTE: this version of Aura requires your device to be running at least Android 1.6. I needed to make use of some of the newer API's in 1.6.
Features
* New title bar with actionable items. Note not all screens have the new title bar. * Faster character switching. The characters portrait in the title bar is actionable and will allow you to switch between characters without navigating back to the character list. * Upgraded to Tyrannis 1.0.4. * Effects engine. The building blocks for the fitter are done. Just need to finish up the UI and implementing all the effects. As a side effect the size of Aura has increased slightly due to having to include more data from the data dump * On the Add a Pilot screen a new status message has been added denoting the progress of the add.
Bug Fixes
* Fixed the crash that happened when trying to update the market stats. * Market stats are only downloaded when there is at least one character that has market orders enabled. This should cut down on bandwidth usage * Aura now uses the same image server as EVE Gate. This should fix all portrait issues. * When I switched to bundling the datadump with Aura I left in the check to check to see if the database needed to be updated. This check also checks to see what images on the SD card needs to be updated. I've removed this check. This should speed up API updates a slight bit by reducing unnecessary disk I/O. * There were cases where batch updates and inserts to the database were not happening in a transaction. This was causing considerable lag on some devices. I now ensure that these happen in a transaction. * Elite is now displayed in the certificates list. * Various other fixes... another update out for this wonderfull app
NOTE: this version of Aura requires your device to be running at least Android 1.6. I needed to make use of some of the newer API's in 1.6.
0.8.1
Features
* New ship details page. Please be patient the first time this loads. It is loading skills, attributes, and effects from the database for the fitter. * Added the attributes screen to the ship details page. This currently only shows the defence section for the ship. But hey the fitter is at work! Not all effects are implemented yet so this will not be accurate for some ships or modules.
Bug Fixes
* Fixed crash due to the external database not being available (most likely due to it becoming corrupt). * Fixed crash when Aura's service was starting up. I forgot to override onStartCommand(). If Aura died while the service had pending work to do it would be restarted with a null intent. Should be all fixed now. * Market stats will be downloaded again (may take up to 24 hours for it to fix itself).
