The speed ccp or Polaris make Events there is no need for this.
And it has allready been done twice befor.
if they wanted to they might even make a book out of it

Well I was thinking that they might want a list of Events we would like to see. Perhaps something we say might spark an idea in someone synapse somewhere that'll make a fun event for many.
That's all. When I think of an event I'll let ya guys know.

i was thinking...
it seems that qite a few of us would like more events... how about if some of us were to start organising a few? not for us as such, but more for the n00bs. we could use alts to do it (i know i have an alt that can at least fly a few cruisers or so :P), and maybe eventually we'd get some sort of support too?
just an idea... let me know if it interests you at all...

Why not start one of your own. OK I may be wrong on this, and I'm sure somebody will correct me if that's the case. But a prime example of a player led and run event is the current 'Reclaimer' event that is ongoing between Amarr and Minmater players.
This in my oppinion is an excellent example of how players can use Eve for maximum enjoyment. PvPers are having a grand old time fighting all sorts of actions from small skirmishes to outright massive fleet actions often in Empire high sec space with little effect on the local none PvPers. Role players are adding so many twists and turns to make a maze look simple. But the main thing is that a hell of a lot of people are having a hell of a lot of fun and without the need to drag in those who don't wish to take part

How about a 2nd prong event:
1. Enemy scientists have figured out a way to make a star go Super Nova and they are ransoming a system of 25 billion people for alot of money. You job is to find and destroy the evil scientists base and destroy their capability before they have a chance to use it.
2. A system is about to go Super Nova and all the occupants of the system need to be moved to another system for safety. Your job is to help organize the move to save the civilization. Any stations in the system are destroyed and the people and their assets are moved to another system. The system has a Nebulae left in its aftermath. It will be several weeks before stargates are put back-online. (Anyone in the system will be destroyed, but it will be a brilliant explosion :-) ).

I don't think people who don't do events will be too thrilled to see their ship just suddenly blow up when they're passing through, or to find out the stations where their hangar, ships and equipment are, just suddenly blow up because of some event going on in the background that they have no part of whatsoever...

The gates will be moved...the people logged out in the system will be moved and the gates closed an before the event occurs.
