1 i cant disagree with this enough 2 How the hell can ccp justify the nerf on level 4 agents due to a possible and i do say possible result of thease missions well have.
This is just yet one more example of ccp gaving in for the wrong reasons.
Please dont and if you do let us know the changes or at least give it 2 months on tq before nerfing it to see if this happens

i havent heard anything about them nerfing lvl 4 agents however i totally agree with you, that ccp should NOT give in and nerf them
as long as lvl 4 agents dont start handing out arkanor asteroid belts there will always be a reason to go out to 0.0. not to mention pos..... ---------------------

I also agree - dont nerf them - I'm in 0.0 space now and have enough people to fight - I beleive it could be the greifer types that are possibly complaining - i.e those that call themselves pirate yet aren't as they dont ransom or anything remotly like pirate..

I`m a bit divided on this.
In the past I`ve been a big... big agent ***** (cause I didn`t like mining)
For the last 10months I rarely go to empire and my sole source of income is NPC killing (again only because I don`t like mining).
I tell you I absolutely hate going to empire... too laggy for my taste, but seeing reports of really cool spawns given from agents I`m actualy considering going back, if only just to check things out.
So I think the ppl that are against the current state of lvl4 missions do have a valid concern... there is a ton of isk to be made with not much risk, since one way or another you can easily defeat the AI, while being secure from human opponents.
It can`t easily be balanced as many will choose the "no-risk" path rather than dedicating time and money to POS`s and deep space mining.

First, CCP did say that they would look at the lv4 missions, and that they had the same concerns than the players living in 0.0 space (who aren't all pvp'ers, BTW). They never said lv4 missions were going to be reduced in difficulty, so this topic is pointless, but I'll humor you a little.
If CCP make impossible to the solo player to do lv4 missions by simply sniping the NPCs from safe distance, I'd agree to keep them as they are now.
Lacking that, you get more BS kills/hours, more security, and interesting additional rewards, than the 0.0 NPC hunter. In those conditions, why do you think the numerous pve'ers in 0.0 shouldn't return in empire space? -Harder lv4 missions in 0.0? Doesn't change a thing for soloers. Harder mean more time to do one->Not more profitable. -Low sec danger? Hardly a good point. -Pirate Faction ships? not everyone want one, and most ppl have a very bad standing with NPC pirate corps. -Complexes? Not something you want to do alone, and htey'll probably be rare things.
Someone on this forum suggested that empire BS should drop T1 named loot and 0.0 BS should sometimes drop T2 and named T2 stuff. I'd be ok with that.

They are going to nerf empire lvl 4 kill mission loot drops.
They will simply not drop loot as good as the loot you can get out in 0.0 space.
I don't see where the problem is, tbh.
They also mentioned that player petitioning *EITHER WAY* on this subject will not sway them. So they didn't do this because the 0.0 people insisted on it. So calm down, the lot of ya. .

How can something be nerfed if it hasn't been released yet ?
Shiva is in testing, lvl 4 agents are in testing. Surely a part of that testing is ensuring that new content is balanced with the game as a whole.

POS - This is simple you want those urber tech 2 equipments you need one of these
Roids - Yes we all know 0.0 has the best rocks but itÆs currently the only place the tech 2 min can be obtained in/
Officers - Yes the urber drops 0.0 only again
Complexes - as I see it the really good ones are 0.0 only
Security - I say this as because I see it most are in alliances which now days is more secure than empire space and lets not plead the risk factor here (I May be wrong on this but I donÆt think I am)
Faction BS - Yes I want an angel BS and I think many others do as well are these going to be cheapàà I think not.
Noob - Yes you do come across some helpless noob and then you just got your self a BS kill and some equipment.
Empire guts.
Security - Ok 0.5 and above but to be honest not that many about plus the new agent reward system LP gives less the higher security your in.
Stations - Yes we have loads cant deny that
Shops - Yes we have loads on them 2
ThatÆs about it to be honest cant think of any more, but on closing this little chat I will say this at the mo tech 1 modded seems to be going out of fashion in the advent of tech 2 which 0.0 controls. So pilots in 0.0 still will have an advanced over empire any way there seems to be no need for a loot table nerf. BUT I do agree 0.0 should drop rare tech 2 modded stuff to compensate a little

security: there is no security in 0.0 space, alliances have a hard time to defend their territory
agents: there are only a few few agents our there in 0.0 (i.e. i can access 4 agents in syndicate
complexes in 0.3 seems to have up to 4mio bounty BS
