What mechanics are being abused in a way the devs didn't intend in your ganking example?
The ally system was being used in a way the devs did not intend as evidenced by their Dev blog on the subject before the new Dec system went live.

I can make a website that hosts a copy of TimeCube, slap a Google logo on the top, and put Apple logos in the background. Would that mean that Google and Apple are colluding to make TimeCube the new official elementary school curriculum?
