What is the ideal fit for a solo pvp Myrm? I mean, one of the great things about this ship is that there are so many fitting options, but I'm confused about what is the optimal fit. Checked BC and SHC, of course, but there are so many variations I just don't know where to begin.
Blasters or AC's(even seen some with lasers)? Dual rep? Triple rep? Plated? What drones should I carry? What about nos and neuts? Even seen some shield tanked Myrms.
Been a T2 frig pilot most of my career and when it comes to BCs I'm clueless. I could really use some help from experienced Myrm pilots. Thanks in advance.

Edited by: Neuronai on 10/11/2009 17:45:01 The shield buffer option is more useful for gang fights where you don't necessarily need the tackle mods...But the agility and room for extra damage can also help a lot when solo.
What you do with your lows can vary greatly. I'd advise greatly against plates however...Whatever you do, take advantage of that rep bonus and use full tank in lows. Either dual or triple preferably...
Dual rep -> 1 medium cap boosters Triple rep -> 2 medium cap boosters
On the dual rep set up, you can fit a rack of medium weapons. ACs and FMP are nice.
On a triple rep (my favourite) you should use Dual 180s, 200mm ACs or light neutrons. I usually go with light neutrons.
In your drone hold I'd go with 3x Berserkers, 5x Hammerheads, 5x Hobgoblins. I break them up into these groups:
-2x Berserkers, 2x Hammerheads, 1x Hobgoblin (max dps) -4x Hobgoblins -3x Hammerheads -1x Berserker
If your drones get shot down, keep launching new ones or scoop and redeploy. If you come across small targets, launch the hobgob group and one extra from the max dps group.
Meds should have MWD, scram, web, (1 or 2 cap boosters depending on no. of reps) and an extra mod of your choice. Could be an extra web, ECCM, a sensor booster, tracking disruptor - whatever you feel will help you in battles. I'd personally go with the sensor booster or extra web.

One nice thing about the Myrm is that it is a very flexible ship. Many of the options you suggested above are viable (dual rep, triple rep, neuts, autocannons) and if you do a search on http://www.eve-search.com/ you will probably find many of them. My personal favorite ways to fit a Myrm:
Quote: Active Armor Tank:
Lows: 1x Damage Control II 2x Medium Armor Repairer II 2x Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II 1x Armor Explosive Hardener II
Mids: 1x 10MN MWD 1x Warp Disruptor II 2x X5 Web 1x Medium Electrochemical Cap Booster
Highs: 2x Heavy Ion Blaster 4x Heavy Electron Blaster
Drones: 2x Ogre II 2x Hammerhead II 1x Hobgoblin II 5x Warrior II 5x ECM drones or spares for my other flights
Quote: Shield Buffer Gank:
Lows: 1x Damage Control II 2x PDU II 3x Magnetic Field Stabilizer
Mids: 1x 10MN MWD 1x Warp Scrambler 1x Web 2x Large Shield Extender II
Highs: 6x Heavy Neutron Blaster
Drones: 2x Ogre II 2x Hammerhead II 1x Hobgoblin II 5x Warrior II 5x ECM drones or spares for my other flights

im told triple rep myrms are the best because they can tank a lot all at once but have the flexibility to only have one or two going at once, and last far longer. but i havent pvpd inna myrm, i just watch battleclinic. happily being blown to shreds in the name of pvp experience, sincerely, Ty. |

Your setup is weak in many aspects tbh... The Cap recharger is fail for PvP, and those Neuts will eat up your cap way faster than you can replenish. Hell, even your Dual Repping will eat up your cap, assisted with one neut or two... I cannot think of many occasions where that heavy-neuting you are trying to do will make your opponent suffer more than yourself.
