Ok, Last night I decided to grab some buddies and do some hunting. Sounded like a great idea, and as I had not been drinking I felt pretty sure I would not end up in a pod.
So I went out in a damnation, and my buddies went out in a SB and a tech I frig. We warped into lamadant and both my buddies were quickly dispatched by a thrasher.
As I spoke with the guy in local, I decided that warping to a MWD fit thrasher with my damnation would be a good idea. He quickly scramed me and had his buddies warp in. I had some buddies warp in as well (hurricane and something else I don't remember because at that point I realized how much this was going to hurt, lol) and we actually had a good little fight.
But alas I ended up loosing my damnation. Too the point, how bad was my fit? I know that our gang should have had more dps on hand to actually engage in this fight, but that is a different story.

Any thoughts on how I can correct it. (currently training hull upgrades 5)

Maybe the fact you had a basic energized adaptive nano fitted and n type hardeners on a t2 battlecruiser as a general rule of thumb, dont fly t2 ships with t1 gear Make the Beership a reality! |

Edited by: Seralder on 19/11/2009 14:39:49 and dont forget: you are a Fleet Command Ship... if you want do PEWPEW use another ship t1
Your strength are fleets and not small groups. Let others fight FOR you.. ^^

Yeah, I was going to wait to fly into a fight until I fit t2 hardners, but I got impatient (I waited a whole day on the training).
And I told my group to bring DPS, but it was a spur of the moment roam. I should have known better, but again I wanted to play with my shiny new toy.

Your priorities are seriously wrong. You'll likely lose more shiny T2 hull to people in T1 hull that are fitted properly because they trained the relevant support skills.
A Damna is expensive enough that it should be all T2/faction fit at a minimum, and with hull upgrades 5 and the armor compensation skills at 4 at least. -- 081014 : emoragequit, char transfered to a friend, 090317 : back to original owner blog |

You don't seem to know what your ship is for, your ship is for gang boosting preferably in a safe spot/POS or if you want it to be in the fight use it in a RR BS gang.
You should always fit 3 armoured warfare links in the highs.
If you want a solid Amarr missile platform get a Sacrilege (Fit HAMs)
If you want to help your gang while doing dps you could try squeezing a link onto a BC/Abso but your probably better off just brining DPS.

Sorry to be harsh, but you deserved to loose it.
1. You shouldn't be even training for a command ship before you can use all tech 2 mods.
2. You are trying to use a Damnation for a purpose it's not well suited too.

Only about half of what's being posted is really relevant. The problem was not the fit - the problem was getting into that fight in the first place.
Changing to 1x therm II 2x EANM II gives you an extra 10K EHP (330 => 340K EHP). Just changing your basic EANM out for an EANM II gives you an extra 30K EHP. But that's only 10% better so even with a full T2 fit you would have died, just slightly slower (10% at best).
