Originally by: GMUGRA I only didn't get what kind of API key will required for sovereignty relevant API requests?
Sovereignty and SovereigntyStatus are wide open. StarbaseDetail is only available to corp directors and CEOs.

Originally by: Verite Rendition Elerhino, I know I've kept bugging you on this (and I'm going to keep doing it, too), but since the index levels won't be in the initial API, do you have any idea on a timeline of when they could be added? December, Q1 2010, etc?
Wollari and I are working on plan B, but ultimately I'd like to be using pure CCP data for the influence map sooner than later, particularly since we don't have any way in infer the industry and military index values.
A rough timeline would be most helpful here, if you can provide one.
Sorry but we can't give you a time line at this point as we are still in planning ourselves all that can say is soonÖ.

Was this duplication intentional?
Yes. These two are handled in a slightly different way behind the scenes but, as far as API consumers are concerned, they are the same.

Originally by: Wollari Edited by: Wollari on 24/11/2009 15:56:01 Can we get an example for the SovereigntyStatus.xml? Just a few lines please.
I assume that the structureID is the ID of the anchored ingame structure right? and structureTypeID is the structure Type (TCU/SBU/Hub/Outpost).
Only the TCU and SBU are listed in this API and the only start time/ exit time are for the anchoring/ onlining.
Originally by: Wollari
I'm just trying to figure how I can work with the data.
- will the startTime always be filled (like online since 2007) or just when the structure is entering a time specific state (onlining, reinforced timer, etc)
Only when in a transition state, ie onlining but never for steady states ie Online
Originally by: Wollari
- So basically every combination of structureID + startTime + state is unique?
structureID is always unique.
Originally by: Wollari
- ownerID is the owning corporationID right? Or can that be a player aswell? I hope, it's corporationID only (or allianceID). I would expect a corporation because you usually have to launch structures for the corporation if they should effect alliance business.
Yes it is the corporation, at the moment only corporations can launch and claim space on behalf of a alliance.
Originally by: Wollari
- What kind of structures will be included? Is there already a list? typeID, typeName
Not sure what you are asking here, only the TCU and SBU will be listed in the sovereignty status page.
hope this helps.

Originally by: Windryder I'd like to ask for some clarification here;
The API will be able to read-off what improvement levels are currently *implemented* in each 0.0 system, or what improvement levels are *possible* in each system?
Sov levels were one thing, but could this be giving away valuable intel that we'd previously have to go and scout-out for ourselves?
We don't currently have a API for the Hub Upgrades. We have yet to decided exactly what API will by created for the upgrades. Currently you can see what level all the dev indexes are from within the game. Sop there we would not be exposing any more than what is available in game.

soooo......... is this a slip of the tung or do you guys have more coming down the pike after this years scrum?
No just that things may change in the future, and even I don't know what will happen. Don't read anything more into this than the letters used to make the words, other wise the people from the internets will start sending you pictures of cats.

Originally by: Vessper Has CCP managed to provide an API test server yet?
Originally by: Kazara Isatoh So as it seems you guys are the team working on the API what would be the posiblity of getting this as a feature of the API after dominion?
A test server and customizable API keys are on Elerhino's List which is currently stored in his Fenrir. I'm semi-optimistic about getting plenty of time for this in the comming months but plans at CCP are constantly subject to change so I can't promise anything.

Originally by: Niraia Do you think this is why we aren't being given mail bodies?
Maybe someone could let us know the reasoning behind not including them.
Sure - Performance concerns. The mail bodies can be quite large and heavy and hard to fit through the API. We'll consider adding them later but right now we need to be a bit minimalistic.

Originally by: Kravek CCP Incognito any plans to include hubs in SovereigntyStatus.xml?
Not at this time, we have more API work on the back log, but no details avail yet. ----- I am a programmer, not a designer, all design comments are just speculation and have no grounding in fact! |
