love the idea, stamped for approval
Though this could be abused, lets say I'm ca and I have a mission running buddy who does missions for caldari. I create an alt, have him join my corp in ca. I kill him over and over again, gain lots of tags. Give them to my mission running buddy and he gets me a special edition raven or something.
What could be done to limit this abuse is that tags are only given out by killing crusiers and battleships and t2 ships.

A Quick question if someone would be so kind:
What are the current dog tags for anyway ??
I killed some PA dude and in his hold was a Caldari Commander and Caldari Captains dog tags but its been a while since I was in Empire or did missions or anything so where the hell did they come from and what is their use ?
Cheers in advance
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

Basically, they're tied into the agent system. Once Shiva goes live, you'll get loyalty points for doing missions, and every so often your agnet will give you a deal whereby you'll be able to exchange dog tags and loyalty points for some nice kit (ie implants or limited faction ship blueprints).
There are 10 sorts of people in the world - those who understand binary, and those who do not. |

Like I suggested, the skill point total of the person you killed will determine the "worth" of the "Dog Tag".
If you keep paying 11million for a A+++++ clone than I guess those tags will be worth 11million.
The cost of the clone will limit this type of behavior.

Since we're on the "what are they used for" topic, are the Serpentis Ship Logs used the same way, or do they just point the way to a secret rat hideout?

Correct, the Serpentis Ship Logs identify the location of hideouts everyone knows about.

I like this idea, but imo it'd only work if the drop was really rare. Mostly to stop a billion of them being created due to killing Alts, but also because it might put a value on the Tag from a Player Created Alliance, which sounds pretty damn nice.
I think it's hard for the Devs to do something like that though, considering it's all Player Create, it can also be destroyed...I'm thinking about the SA/SE thing...but then again, a Dead Alliance Tag might be worth something to someone...like Cujo? (Best tell you that it was only a joke before someone takes it too seriously). _____________________________________________/ *Here comes the Thnikkaman!*

getting dog tags for kills would be fun, even if you could only collect them.

The dog tag should say in its attributes how many sp the kill had as well so you can really brag. ------------------------------------- You are all worthless, and weak.
