Would it be possible to get Dog Tags from killing player created alliance members?
For example:
I kill a CA member, can I get a "Curse Alliance" Dog Tag?
Basically what I'm suggesting is that since all the NPC alliances drop Dog Tags why don't player created Alliances as well?
Perhaps, in the future, agents will accept certain types of Dog Tags to get rewards.
For example:
Caldari agents may accept "Curse Alliance" Dog Tags when giving awards for LP (Loyalty Points).
You get the idea.
Perhaps we only get a Dog Tag when they are podded?
I don't know if there will be "ranks", but perhaps the number of skill points will determine the "worth" of the dog tag?
Example:
Killing a 1million skill point character would pretty much drop a worthless Dog Tag, but killing an 18million skill point character would be worth significantly more.
What do you guys think?

The "Dog Tag" exchange should be based off of player driven story-arcs.

What's wrong with the good 'ol corpse ya get when podding someone?
I know it doesn't serve any purpose but to have the corpse of someone ya have wanted to kill for a long time is a much better reward then a dog tag imo.

I think if a Dev just said:
1. Good idea, we'll consider it in Kali. 2. We'll take what you suggested into consideration, but its unlikely to be implemented. 3. What are you smoking? You know its banned right?
Feedback is good.

love the idea, stamped for approval
Though this could be abused, lets say I'm ca and I have a mission running buddy who does missions for caldari. I create an alt, have him join my corp in ca. I kill him over and over again, gain lots of tags. Give them to my mission running buddy and he gets me a special edition raven or something.
What could be done to limit this abuse is that tags are only given out by killing crusiers and battleships and t2 ships.

A Quick question if someone would be so kind:
What are the current dog tags for anyway ??
I killed some PA dude and in his hold was a Caldari Commander and Caldari Captains dog tags but its been a while since I was in Empire or did missions or anything so where the hell did they come from and what is their use ?
Cheers in advance
So HMV consider Andy Williams and Dean Martin to be "easy listening" do they? Tell that to my mate Dave, he's been deaf for 20 years.

Basically, they're tied into the agent system. Once Shiva goes live, you'll get loyalty points for doing missions, and every so often your agnet will give you a deal whereby you'll be able to exchange dog tags and loyalty points for some nice kit (ie implants or limited faction ship blueprints).
There are 10 sorts of people in the world - those who understand binary, and those who do not. |

Like I suggested, the skill point total of the person you killed will determine the "worth" of the "Dog Tag".
If you keep paying 11million for a A+++++ clone than I guess those tags will be worth 11million.
The cost of the clone will limit this type of behavior.

I like this idea, but imo it'd only work if the drop was really rare. Mostly to stop a billion of them being created due to killing Alts, but also because it might put a value on the Tag from a Player Created Alliance, which sounds pretty damn nice.
I think it's hard for the Devs to do something like that though, considering it's all Player Create, it can also be destroyed...I'm thinking about the SA/SE thing...but then again, a Dead Alliance Tag might be worth something to someone...like Cujo? (Best tell you that it was only a joke before someone takes it too seriously). _____________________________________________/ *Here comes the Thnikkaman!*
