Verite...
I think your map calculations are wrong still... or the part that maps Pure Blind is..
3 of 4 outposts in pure blind are no longer in MH hands.. but it still colors the whole blob of Pure Blind as MH space... now to be fair INIT and CO2 and C-H dont have a lot of non-outpost systems as sov. But the weight of sov in an outpost system should overpower adjacent non-outpost sov systems... and a lot of the Sov in PB has blown up in the last month... if you look at Sov near JC- and D2- there are few systems with sov, and they are from multiple parties...
With MH holding EC-P8R I am having a hard time seeing how the map would calculate them getting the sov-blob on the whole region...
Triumvirate in Wicked Creek... Honorable Temple down there... Ushra Khal over in Catch... AAA Citzens in Impass...
All single-outpost deals surrounded by lots of other sov and other alliance outposts but they are on the map...
Just the albeit quick-math I ran I would expect to see C-H and CO2, and maybe INIT show up or at least see the MH bubble receed from PB... MM, and TCF have systems there too for that matter...
Hey what can I say I am bored at work... can you please look into it.
Thanks mate. FWIW the NC could have stopped Atlas in Gem if they wanted to... you guys got screwed.

The map is good everything in universe map thats readable (and up to date), and probably will be the standard map to use.
Though if a war is going on its hard to gauge who is making progress in what systems (dont have the color change if one system changes hands).
Can't realy complain unless I make my own map.

I am not complaining.. I am trying to see if its a bug that needs fixing is all. I have seen other outpost systems with adjacent hostile sov show up as blobs on the map, even with other hostile outpost sov systems in close proximity. I am wondering if there is a rendering bug when it comes to the Pure Blind area... I know in the past other map makers have coded in forced corrections to get around NPC sov (fountain etc) when it comes to drawing sov bubbles... so I am just trying to help keep Verite's map the best map out there.
Really I could care less about our war.. to be honest our coalition controls PB anytime we feel like it regardless of Sov.. (which we hold 3 of 4 outposts anyhow..) and you see that on the in-game map. But even in distant memory PB sov always looked kind of screwy.

Lets correct you here. You coalition doesn't own Pure Blind, but rather some stations. If you controlled PB you would own all the moons, and the surrounding systems. However your coalition now has picked up picked up a bill that your not receiving income from. Hopefully the NC is taken that saved isk and dumping it into alliance ships now.

Hi Ammath;
The way the map works, to really gather an influence blob you need multiple cumulative sources, including a station. CO2 only has 1 system besides their station system, INIT only has a station system, etc. The strongest influence blobs are going to be found near blobs of systems held by the same entity; all of those groups you listed have several outlying systems on top of their station system. As it stands for now, even though MH doesn't have as many station systems any more, they do have a lot of systems overall and all of this is still fairly close to their Fade holdings where their stations are.
I checked all of the data and there are no bugs. If you guys pick up a couple more systems near JC (particularly the systems closest to JC in terms of jumps), you should get an influence blob once those roll over to higher sov levels (bear in mind that system is fairly close to TCF's station blob in Dek). The key thing to keep in mind is that for any pixel, the overall influence is the cumulative influence of all influence generating systems in range. ---- FREE Explorer Lead Megalomanic EVE Null-Sec Player Influence Map http://dl1.eve-files.com/media/corp/Veritefw/FWinf |
