Hello folks,
is there a tool that, given a minerals list , returns the list of compressed minerals that best fits such needs ?
Thanks in advance, BM |

I agree that 800's and 425's can be used en-masse to do compression - remember though, there are other items out there used for compression purposes.
What you want use to compress with will ultimately depend on two things:
1. What you're compressing minerals for on the backend. 2. What your mineral distribution is.
I can almost always give you a much more accurate breakdown of what your minerals will compress down to.

Haha ya don't use the program I wrote. Seriously. It's a fun little thing, but it doesn't do anything close to what I wanted it to do. I've been putting off building the tool correctly because I hate dynamic programming problems. But use 425mm railgun Is, or 800mm repeating artillery, or tachyon beam laser I's (I think that's what they were), or gas cloud harvester I's. There are a few more, but you'll pretty much just use those modules and import/export leftovers. |

425's and 800's are good. Personally, I haven't taken the time to look into Tach's (and some of the other guns).
While not giving away any trade secrets, I personal compress using a set of over 30 different types of BPOs.
Please don't use the Gas Cloud Harvesters - they compress very well, but you lose a LOT due to waste during the build cycle - which means you only get back like 75% of your minerals on reprocessing. HROLT CEO Live Free; Die Proud

What makes them so wasteful? I only see the normal 10% wastage factor to be researched away. |

Ah, thanks for the information. It's lovely how it just doesn't mention that some mins are extra on the BPO info, innit. |
