How would you fit one? buffer has massive EHP and more damage but a finite endurance when the armours gone its dead but the active repped version can tank a lot of damage especially with drugs and overheat but has nearly half the EHP and less dps because it fits less heatsinks and neuts can really screw you over.
There are merits to both setups but what would you do?

Both, the ship can fit a single rep pretty well without losing too much EHP overall. A cap injector helps a lot too.

plate + rep is the best setup in my eyes, still remains an expensive toy. neuts screw you over, plated or not ;)

Seconding this since ab'ing a CS is a bannable offence and should result in you getting wiped out of EVE. ---[center] Please resize your signature to the maximum file size of 24000 bytes. Zymurgist |

Edited by: Jessica Watia on 01/12/2009 15:16:25 My Absolution fit is the following.
6x Heavy Pulse II
10MN Microwarp drive II Medium Cap injector II Tracking computer II with tracking script.
2x Medium armor reps 1x EANM 1x DCU 3x Heatsink II
2x Auxillary nano pumps and 5x light ECM drones.
It won't survive solo against a large blob but then nothing will. The reason I took a dubble rep and not a plate is becous of the powergrid. And I only use it in small warfare where active tanking works (especialy if you pop a booster).
edit; Befor people whine about the tracking computer, I like hitting Interceptors.

lol bull****. it's not like you should solojump into gatecamps with it. and with 2ptscrams being all over the pvp-place i don't see a good reason fitting it to sumthing already slow. mwds are for fast ships and tacklers, deal with it.

Something like that for small RR gangs seems ok to me.

6xHP, gangmod mwd, point, small injector 1600 RT, dc, ANP(c-type?), thermic hardener, 3xHS
ACR, Trimark
More speed, better EHP(especially when overloading hardener), no gaping hole on thermic. Yeah, small booster is bit worse, but a) you can plug navy 400s if you want and b) if you're heavily neuted you won't be able to do anything still. If one's actually in RR gang then I'd drop 1 HS for EANM.

Go with a dual rep for solo/small gang:
http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/26240-Absolution-Solo-Small-gang-PvP.html
For larger fleets probably use a damnation as it will be more useful to the gang basically a buffer tanked Abso is just an expensive geddon.
