Im having the same problem
had the same issue on me labtop , i reinstalled direcktx and that fixed it 4 me , so try to download the hole 1 from microsoft and run it , and then try to run it again.
Still no good for me. Installed latest Intel 965 Chipset for Dell Vostro 1400 ver 6.14.10.4859 for this comp. Installed the latest DirectX drivers. Removed and re-installed Eve Client. No go. What is sad there was no issue before this patch in the last two years so something in the graphics engine was changed.
Same thing here on my end. Just reactivated my account last night after being away for over a year, and now I can't even run the client. :(

It seems that a lot of people are having this problem. I haven't been able to login since the deployment. Been trying all day, including driver upgrades, and reinstall of the client (several times). Hopefully they'll have a fix for this soon - I just reactivated my account!

Still unable to log into the game. The splash screen comes up for about a second or so, then screen goes black. I get an error message that says my igfx driver has crashed and recovered. This is the same problem I had with the initial Dominion release, and the latest patch didn't fix it. I was able to login just fine before the patch, and so were about 9 thousand other players. Does anyone have any idea on when they're going to fix this?

Just did a fresh install of the newest client - still unable to log in. I hit the splash page, and then the screen blanks for a second before coming back in. It does this repeatedly, and then my entire system crashes. Been having this problem since the new Dominion launch...
