igxprd32 error BSOD I have a Vostro 1400 Dell laptop running Windows XP SP3, Intel Core 2 Duo, 2 gig RAM with the Intel G965 chipset. Now when I try to run Dominion after the small splash screen when it is going to the log-in screen it hangs on a black screen. Then mouse stops working. Then blue screen of death. I have been able to run Eve all this time on this laptop till this patch. Please help - submitted bug report also. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |

Shortly after (10-20secs), the entire system crashes (Blue screen of death) and computer reboots, when I log back on, Windows advises me the system has recovered from a serious error. Windows is saying a device driver caused a fatal "stop" issue which requires a reboot to resolve. But it happens every time I try to load the client, so I know it's the Eve client itself!
Running WinXP Pro SP 3 on a Dell D630 Laptop ATM (Away from home, crappy video card!). Also realized I am running same vid card as guy who posted above having issue with a laptop.
Intel Accelerator 965 built-in vid card.
Someone have any ideas how to save me from the Blue screen of death?

As of posting this, seems others having almost exact same issue.
Have the same Notebook with the same video card and exactly the same issue. I'm going to try newer graphics driver.
Same thing with alot of people and the G965 Express Chipset it seems. Hope they fix or have to cancel account. I updated the driver from the Dell website and nothing. Did a google search with some text like -d3d still nothing. Can't upgrade to the latest Intel driver as the updater won't let it run ... can't even install an older version of the Intel driver as the updater won't let it run. Boy I loathe patch days. any ideas?
Im having the same problem
had the same issue on me labtop , i reinstalled direcktx and that fixed it 4 me , so try to download the hole 1 from microsoft and run it , and then try to run it again.
Still no good for me. Installed latest Intel 965 Chipset for Dell Vostro 1400 ver 6.14.10.4859 for this comp. Installed the latest DirectX drivers. Removed and re-installed Eve Client. No go. What is sad there was no issue before this patch in the last two years so something in the graphics engine was changed. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |

It seems that a lot of people are having this problem. I haven't been able to login since the deployment. Been trying all day, including driver upgrades, and reinstall of the client (several times). Hopefully they'll have a fix for this soon - I just reactivated my account!
Join the club. I have tried everything today. I gave up as I realized it had NOTHING to do with my computer, but the program graphics engine messing up something. I used Eve on that computer for 2+ years with no problems and went through all the other patches fine. And miraculously it now is fubbered - nothing changed on my computer, so let's figure it out :). If you've not done so, please run the logserver and file a bug report with the file attached and a description of your machine. Its def. a widespread problem, the more reports they get in, the faster they can fix it. to get a log file, start the logserver ap from the eve folder, go to file, open new workspace, then try to start the client, youll see the log server fill up, save that file and attach it to the bug report. bug report button is at the left under 'eve insider', last option. - a fellow no client pilot
Well my problem is that I start the log server, launch eve, splash screen, log is running, black screen, and 5 seconds later Blue Screen. And then when I unplug the battery to reboot, there is no log saved. But I did put in a bug report. At least some people are only getting the black screen instead of the blue screen ;). When you uninstall old driver tell it to delete the files, then you can just run the Intel .exe installer. Reboots a couple times and then EVE loads.
Got mine to work Thanks
I can uninstall driver fine, but how do I install the Intel driver set that is current as the stupid program won't let me. I have a Dell Vostro 1400 that of course when I run the setup says I do not have the right system. The registry entry is for the Inspiron, but anyone know the registry entry for the Vostro so it actually lets me install the current driver? Still annoyed as Eve worked fine before the patch which I had the most current drivers already. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises

Yes, welcome to "among the many" still waiting for some word on the graphics issue hanging at the black screen/log-in screen. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |

Originally by: Hector Eriaggan I am also using an ATI card and experiencing some problems (the white rectangle upon the fitting window). My problem is, I can't update my drivers since I have a Dell Laptop computer, and I am supposed to get the drivers from them. Any driver I try to get from elsewhere won't install, saying it is does not fit my system. Anyone knows how to bypass that manufacturer restriction ?
If it's an integrated video card, you can't. If the card is a stand alone you should be able to just download the latest catalyst from ati and it should install.
Great, so what do you do when you can't upgrade to the latest driver? I download the latest driver for my Dell Vostro 1400 from Intel .5209 version and says it does not fit my system; so it won't let me install the latest driver. So I download the latest drive from my manufacturer Dell .4859 version and still get the black screen. Guess I need to wait for CCP to fix Eve for us "graphic issue" people that can't load past the splash screen :(. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |

Yes, this is driving me crazy as well. I hope its fixed soon. I've redownloaded twice.. gonna try it a third time.
Good luck, you'll do it 30 times and it won't matter. In order to make "pretty" planets they fubbered something with the graphics. Now there are many users out there like yourself and me that have to keep posting and submitting bug reports for them to admit that they fubbered the graphics. I was playing Eve for over 2 years on my laptop perfectly fine. Now with Dominion ... can't even get the bloody log-in screen to load before I get a blue screen. I wish they would just make an entry here acknowledging the fact that the graphics are fubbered and they will fix it or revert it back. You can guarantee that I am counting the days that I can not log-in and will petition for a refund. Get it right. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |

I was so excited ... and then dashed away immediately again !
Removed Eve, removed the Cache files, reinstalled the latest Full version from download, and actually able to get to the log-in screen. I go to the Graphics setting to change everything to Low and game hangs on black screen. Now when I run it I do not get the blue screen of death, but only get a black screen that stays there ... like everyone else.
I can get to the log-in screen each time if I delete the Cache files as CCP stated in their "possible fix" then still can not get in. BTW CCP it is not a "possible fix" as it does not work. If I delete the Cache folder each time I can get to the log-in screen and that is as far as the program will let me go. Tazmikella Director MicroCon Enterprises |
