hey there. i have a rifter, and it rocks pretty hard.
but im looking for some more beefcakeness, while still having the good looks of the rifter. luckily, there exists the jaguar :)
anyone have one? how does it perform?

It takes some time before the forum server generates it. It's a little sa***uard against dayfly alts, I guess
The Rifter is an easy ship to take down. My only encounter with Jaguar was controlling a Thorax. I surprised him, he died pretty fast.
They are good ships, though, Assault Ships. Costly as they are. Best against frigates, do not expect wonders against large targets.
If you train and get a Claw, you'll also get pleasantly surprised. Once you sit down in an Interceptor you'll never look at cruisers or battleships the same way again

ok, cheers. im pretty happy being a frigate pilot, dont think ill change yet. i love the rifter too much.

Got a Wolf and I can say that i do like it. Only got it for a couple of days, but the thing with assault ships is that they are slow. Even with AB/MWD you will ôfeelö its ôslownessö. But you can fit more modules and tank way better than you can even dream of doing in a Rifter. But than again its all about whom you are going to fight. If rats then laser are the one you would like to face. With 70-60% on shield and 92-70% on armor, laser wonÆt hurt you. (as mutch)
Have taken out cruiser and even a 1 mil BS with my wolf so it can pack a punch. The only drawback is the cost. But if you have the cash, try one out.

I found my Jag took out cruisers real quick and I was hardly touched, but not thinking and only waiting 14 mins... they don't work well vs sentries!

The wolf has a lot of power, but the Jaguar is very fast for an assault frigate, and would allow you to use a setup closer to that of a normal frigate.
You should also consider looking into a claw. The claw is faster and a little more durable than a rifter, and its cheaper than the assault frigs.

If you are npc hunting then either the Jag or the Wolf is the way to go - particularly facing laser using npcs. For pvp, the Wolf and Jag are a bit expensive to lose. As good as they are, they are still 20M frigates and will die pretty quickly faced with a 'rax + drones (I know - I just lost a wolf this way a few days ago :/)
