On windows displaying characters, like the "Guests" pane and the "Local" chat channel, put the little green stared "Corp-mate" icon on my own profile. As it is, it looks like I am not in the set of "Corp members" and I can't just skim past myself when looking for non-corp members.

There are two kinds of ideas.
One kind absolutely sucks because they come from wannabe game designers who want to re-roll the entire game principle for their own benefit.
The other kind are small, absolutely suitable and long overdue ideas like this one.

i would love this to be added to the game so simple an idea but so nice to be added.
can i lob another on out there and enable us to filter the local window to only show neut/hostiles in a certain setting would make it alot easier to spot ppl coming into a system and get actual numbers when your not having to scroll through blues.
also can we have the scanner actually work with the overview settings and not show us friendly ships when they are not highlighted/designated on our overviews??? is that at all possible :D

Its just a lil annoying. But yeah, I always have to do a double take on my own avatar when searching for non-alliance/non-corpies.

I'd settle for being in same alliance as myself.

Local though used and an intel tool, is not an intel tool, and anything to make its use as such easier should be avoided, CCP are even talking about putting delayed local in 0.0, why would they add this, its counter productive to what they want to do...

Local is an intel tool, cause that is how it is used.
I don't really see the problem with that either and it is pretty important cause there are no other working alternatives to get necessary intel on forces in system.
Also it is not strange at all that is some kind of public record of how the stargates are used. Especially not if my alliance pay the maintenance for the gates as now in Dominion. There should be no problem obtaining a list of who jumped in and out then.
People using cynos, and covert-cynos in particular might be a good idea to delay in local though.
