It is well known that the Minmatar Republic and Tribes have in the recent past only offered limited help to former slaves. This has even extended to their being unable to accept released slaves. The position is compounded by the profound difficulty many have in adjusting to freedom after generations of slavery. This and the refusal to outlaw slavery with Minmatar space were among the many reasons the Peoples Republic of Minmatar (PRM) was created opting out of the Republic of Minmatar. The PRM has been carrying out many programs with great success to help former slaves to adjust to life as free Minmatar and now many pilots that fly in Minmatar space are graduates of PRM schools and projects.
After discussion the PRM has decided to offer further assistance to their brethren and to step into the gap left by the Republic. To this end a new body has been funded "The Truth and Reconciliation Council" which with the assistance of the Sisters of Eve will provide assistance to former slaves and help them to come to terms with a free society. The Council will provide counselling, education, job placement, assistance with accomodation, location of relatives and any other support needed by newly free citizens. Though funded by the PRM the Council is set up as a completely independent agency and it is hoped will be able to work closely with Minmatar authorities in what must be regarded as the common good.
The Council does however need your assistance. Many pilots have former slaves in their care if the Council is to help them they need to be passed to the Council. To achieve this is straightforward. Please place the former slaves in the care of the station authorities (ooc in escrow) at the Councils offices in Rens VII.19, Sisters of Eve Bureau either in my or the Councils name. We unfortunately are not in a position to reward pilots for their efforts but will be seeking to publicise the efforts of those pilots who transfer former slaves into our care.
We hope to set up a second office in Amarr space shortly so that former slave can be transferred to us there.
Thank you for your time and attention in reading this.

God bless you!
This is an important step on the road to freedom for all Matari. I look forward to the imminent day that slavers can no longer legally ply their foul trade in the Republic -- and the eventual elimination of widespread slavery from the Universe entirely.

If slave-holding Amarrians become enlightened to the evil of slavery and choose to give up their slaves to this committee, why should they be stopped? If you accept the premise of slavery, then you accept that the slaveholder has the right to sell slaves or give them away.

Sure, so long as he accepts he's a heretic. In which case he will have a place in the Ammatar Federation's "Containment" centers. Then we will confiscate the slaves and turn them over to a place that can properly care for them. Like Metatron Inc. or PIE corporation. -----------------------------------

It is indeed intended that office space be obtained in Amarr space. I am sure there would be no objection from the empire for what is an entirely charitable project.

It is ilegal to free slaves in Amarr space, only a holder can give his slaves to the Ammatars for testing the slaves achievement in gods ways, and that is the only way to free a slave. If u would obtain an office in Amarr space and im informed of your ilegal activities there i Ubiqua will drive you back to your side of the border.

So, if you're saying that it is illegal to free slaves in Amarr, then since the Emperor freed those slaves a long while back, are you saying the Emperor is a criminal? Or is he just that much above the law that he can break any crime he wanted and get away with it?
Or more simply, is freeing slaves in Amarr space really illegal, or is it a law you just made up?

I do not approve of the Emperors action in that matter however as he was the true holder of those slaves, He probably did that in some diplomatical concern.

I will personally, be transferring all the freed matari under my care to the care of this corp. They can care for them much better than i am able to.
Thank you Karin Matar, your people will be eternally grateful. -

Karin, will the Council be helping the homeless also? A lot of homeless Matari are former slaves who haven't been able to integrate into mainstream Matari society, and I'd hate to see them suffer further just because the scars from their slave collars have already healed.

Don't you ever tire of trying to curry favor with your Amarrian masters? We pilots do for these people what we can, but they need professional help. I'm not qualified to provide them with the training they need any more than I'm qualified to fly a battleship. Others, like Karin, fill that role.
Not one of these former slaves has expressed an interest in returning to Amarr.
I'm afraid my translation software can't make heads or tails of "tea totalling". The closest match it finds is "teetotaling", which means "abstaining from alcohol". This does not describe many of the homeless people that I know.

Do you ever tire of trying to curry favour with your Minmatar masters? You have ISK, why don't you use it to setup your homeless in a good set of quarters and maybe train him how to work on your ship for pay?

Well slaves are only made of those unwilling to serve. Naturally they would be equally unwilling once freed by your ilk.

The tea totalling is a reference to something else. You won't find it in your precious translation matrix. -----------------------------------

Edited by: Cribb on 11/11/2004 15:40:24 Accept my first newly freed minmatar citizens. Unlike Pulgor states we do offer our newly freed brothers and sisters employment on board our ships or stations. We even have a training program in action that teaches these former slaves to evolve and educate themselfs. Although some brotheres and sisters want to find their roots (mostly those born in captivity) or others just want to return home to their loved ones. This task however we cannot forfill since our corp does not have the manpower to fly them all to their home planets. So we will help those minmatar on their way by handing them to you in the hope that they'll find their famely's
And please don't speak of any reward, For i'm sure we do this because it the right thing to do. And expect no payment for it, cause that would make us what we hate most!
