I wonder how well thought out and articulate your post was that it took you less than 5 minutes to type.
But anyway, I know what you mean, its annoying, just get into the habit of copying to clipboard though before clicking post. |

Confirming that confirmation. Back always worked for me in that situation.

But it does: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
Besides, if you hit the back button in your browser, there really is nothing CCP could do to ensure every browser handles it properly. You'd have to use a link provided by the errorpage (I know, currently it's just a javascript:back link, but if they changed that, you'd have to use it). Your browser's back button can only be fixed by the ebil people who cursed the web with its release.

You meant IE. And no. No one expects anything to work correctly in IE.

But it does: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
If you combine all the stats of the three versions of IE that are separated, you're about on par with Firefox in that chart. But you missed something on that page:
"These facts indicate that the browser figures above are not 100% realistic. Other web sites have statistics showing that Internet Explorer is used by at least 80% of the users."
The stats only show percentage of users accessing that site, which is tipped in the favor of browsers alternate to IE, which makes sense, because, very generally speaking, HTML developers hate IE. However, the majority of business users are either forced to use IE or don't know there's another option.
Also, hit 5 minute timer typing this post in Firefox. Hit Back. Ah... everything still there. :)

True, but the trend is very obvious for Firefox. Besides, you can easily add Chrome and Opera percentages to FF since imo those browser have a functional back-button, too - and that's what my reply was all about: Just because one browser has problems with a particular site doesn't mean that the site itself is broken.

It's hard to get 100% accurate numbers. I do however think it is safe to say that IE percentages are declining. We're finally getting out of the Dark Ages.

Hopefully. My point was just that the results of that are skewed in favor of web developers. Unfortunately, as a business programmer programming for businesses that say IE must be default because everyone has it, I'm still stuck programing for it. :(

Wouldn't it be great if Microsoft started following industry standards instead of trying to rewrite them?
