I would really appreciate if you added a setting for the view angle... I liked the fish-eye view much better than this one... now my ships look fat (especially the orca). I know it's easy to implement this feature - just add a sliding bar we can use to increase/decrease the degrees of the FOV.
Pretty please with sugar on top?

Ctrl-both mouse buttons, then move the mouse left or right. Though it resets after each session change, which is kinda annoying.

Thanks for the tip, but a setting for this would still be better :D (every session change... annoying)

I haven't noticed any difference. Do you have some sort of before-after screenshot? Or is this a multiple-monitor only issue? I'm playing the game on a widescreen btw, you too?

Aww well... there is a difference in the view angle. If you were playing on a wide screen and used the 'widescreen' option, it looked like it looks now, normally afaik.

Yeah, the new FoV makes me dizzy so i cant play eve.
An option between the old and new FoV should be really easy to implement.
As for now, i cant undock without feeling sick :(
Also, the ctrl+mouse buttons only makes the FoV as wide as dominion changed it to and narrower, so it doesnt help.

What a bunch of panzies, imo I love the new FOV and really hope CCP keeps it. I think a much better way to switch between the two FOVs is needed. It seems somewhat difficult at times to change to one or the other and you honestlyly dont need 4 buttons to do it simply add a button to left pane or something.

Well its not simply black or white, it should be really simple to just add an option between the new and old FOV. For example, we had both classic and premium graphics for a while to choose between. That way, everyone can be happy.

I've tried the control-both mouse buttons thing and no, it's not nice. It's not what I'm looking for. It seems to get the camera's viewpoint farther from the ship, so the view angle only gets narrower, not wider.
I mean, it's so simple to implement the old view back. I liked it BECAUSE it wasn't human, because it gave you the feeling you weren't looking through your eyes, because it made the ships look slimmer (damn, the domi is REALLY fat right now!) etc.

Yeah, the control-mouse only works to make the FOV as wide as the new dominion FOV allows and only narrower (bigger objects) and is therefore broken.
CCP really needs to make an option between old and new cos as it is right now - i cant play the game.

So I'm the only one who doesn't see a difference, right? I'm just asking since it might be setup or options related. Or maybe I need to have my eyes checked.

There is a difference, patch notes even includes it.
"Graphics General * Complete planetary graphics overhaul. * Star field graphics have been updated. * Camera Field of View (FOV) has been changed."
It might be different depending on resolution, but things should look alot larger and more massive in comparison to your ship. Thats is the problem, since it feels like sitting 10cm from the screen after the patch.

Ah ok, thanks.

Probably that. Or maybe I'm doing too much station spinning 'cause I still don't see it :)

finally, the view is more realistic and gives you some more impression how big things really are. Before the patch the carrier next to your cruiser seemed looked not much bigger than your ship. Now the feeling of sizes got better, hope CCP will narrow the FOV even more.
