In terms of rewards vary wildly. There is a lvl4 storyline courier giving total of 15 mill isk for carrying a data transaction chip or some such (0.1m3) iirc.

Well storylines are all about standings so I wouldn't say any storyline is worthless.

Materials for war if you are going by standings. Yes I love that my faction standings go up by 0.01. Now for an easy +4 implant you can't beat it though

Ever since I started working for my current level 4 Q18 agent in a .5 space, out of 7 storyline missions I got, FIVE of them were the same 40,000m^3 courier with less than 2m reward each, and with a 13,000m^3 cargo hold industrial ship ~20 jumps were required to complete mission and fly back... Did I do something wrong?

My last 3 storylines were all 'special delivery' they are a total waste of time - All 3 agents were either Intelligence or Internal Security, and I was running 'encounter' (combat) missions... ----------------------------------------------------------- In the beginning the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move |

May my answer be as usefully specific as your question ... .

I think some people miss the point of the 40k m3 courier storyline. Overall it takes less time than a combat storyline, and it gives just as much faction standing gain.
The entire point of storyline missions is the faction standing gain. ---

is it also normal for the combat encounter storylines to occur in lowsec? before dominion all I would get were the courier type, but now I keep getting them for combat in .02 systems, saying bring friends
this is on lvl 1 missions btw... normal? ---------------------------------

2 things.
First, if you don't have 7.0 standing with the faction yet, it is worth doing. Once you get 7.0 faction, every L4 agent opens up to you (except R&D) which is really really nice.
Second, if you have 7.0 faction already, look at the reward. +4 implants go between 15-25M, so those few jumps could well be worth it, especially if you have a higher level industrial. If you don't get an implant, just decline it.
