I have a severe problem with the game. My client just either crashes to desktop or sends my windows into blue-screen. This happens randomly sometimes when jumping into a system or docking up. Have petitioned it with logserver output and directx diagnostics. Hoping CCP will help me out with this soon as the game is nearly unplayable for me. Anyone else experiences this?
I never had these issues in Apocrypha.

I have experienced these problems, also. Tonight, after crashing and being forced to restart my computer, it crashed while logging into my character. After that, I have been unable to reach the login screen. The splash screen comes up for a few seconds, then disappears and I am left with only ExeFile.exe *32 running in the system Processes.
For what it's worth:
Windows Vista Home Premium, 64bit 2GB RAM NVidia GeForce 8800 GTX (768MB)
I, too, did not experience these problems in Apocrypha.

same here, first it started with extreme lag, with frame rates of 0.1 fps that lasted for a couple of minutes. To now just completely freezing the screen while keeping the accounts active on the server. Usually happens in belts but also when you arrive at a station after warp. Only happens when i have two accounts running at the same time.

Edited by: Helgur on 06/12/2009 23:41:32 Glad I'm not the only one struggling with this problem, should indicate that its unlikely the problem is on my end. My system is a iMac 6,1 running a fresh copy of windows xp 2GB RAM and GeForce 7600 GT 256 MB graphics unit. I purposely installed XP on my mac because the mac client has a lot of faults that I really can't live with (voice issues among other things). But might give the mac client another go after this patch.
Still awaiting response to the petition. Will update this thread when I receive words from CCP

If you haven't done so already, please submit a bug report with the following information to help speed up the investigation process.
1. A logserver file containing a run of the client where the issue you are experiencing is reproduced. Note that you will only be able to save this in the event the Eve client crashes and not a bluescreen. 2. A dxdiag file containing your system and driver details. 3. Create an Eve shortcut and add the /minidump flag to the end of the target path. When the Eve client crashes it will save a minidump. Logserver will tell you where this minidump is saved. 4. If you are getting bluescreens, our Reporting Crashes wiki page can help with capturing that information for a bug report. 5. A description and set of reproduction steps that are detailed but also easy to read and understand. If it's a crash ingame it is helpful to include what you were doing when the crash occurred. (Warping, activating a gate in a dungeon, activating a module, etc)
You can attach multiple files to a report by submitting the BR with one file attached and then add more files through the editing option. The report will be listed under 'Bug Reporting -> My Bug Reports'.
More information about everything I've asked for above including how to generate them can be found in more detail on our wiki.

Just now filed a bug report, couldn't include multiple files on the form so I submitted the output from the logserver. I also got a more or less automated response from your GM department that told me you where already working to fix this and that it was a known problem on the mac client.
I replied that I specifically stated that I submitted a directx diagnostic file and therefore didn't play on the MacOSX operating system. The reason for me installing windows and playing eve on that was my negative experience with running eve on macos earlier. At least now I know that I won't be any better off switching back to the mac client. It has just gotten worse after dominion, even though to put it bluntly was quite sh**y before.
I don't want to be negative, I know you guys work hard to fix the issues and I got to say I quite enjoy playing this game (when it works). But I also beg you for some understanding from my - the paying customers viewpoint, and how frustrating this can be especially when your GM team doesn't take their time to read the petitions. It will just lead to more petitions on your doorstep which will just bog down the whole process.

All was fine for me until today. I jumped to some random system... when system loaded, my client froze (with some blue dots across the screen). Now each time I log in it freezes in same way...
I changed nothing and no patch was applied. I presume CCP won't be able to help me even after I sent my petition, so I'm afraid this might actually end my EVE life... not a good way to go...
