An obituary to my first Dominix, piloted by my original main who now leads the sad life of a mostly neglected carebear alt. However, during November I found some time that I could play him off-peak times, and this is the resulting footage.
avi at eve-files 15 minutes, 550 mb
(if someone could make a .mkv it would be greatly appreciated)
It's pretty much every fight I have been in it that was not a straight gank and did contain explosions. I did chicken out of some fights where the odds seemed too badly stacked against me, even though I usually kicked myself for that afterwards. Those could have been truly epic. Also not included is a bait myrm that turned out to be a genuine crap-fitted 18 months old ratter with T1 drones and a pirate hurricane that had just ganked a third party rupture and got ganked in turn by me before Exeqror or battleship buddies could help him.
As can be expected from this not all fights are up to the real ace's standards, but since it is an obituary I wanted it to be as complete as possible.
Feedback on editing and piloting are very welcome! (I know I made several mistakes per fight, some of them hilarious, some simply frustrating. Most are commented in the little box, which is directed mainly at people who are even more noobish than me and may find them useful.)

yes good vid. I was the FC of this...well...let's say interesting battle. I dunno what kicked me in the brain, but I ordered to kill your drones first. Well maybe we could have killed you if we had primaried your BS.

i wont lie, this isnt a "hardcore pvp vid" for all the fanbois out there, but for what its worth, i enjoyed it!
Plus the music is awesome!
I always like a movie that makes me scream and the screen, and when that Prot jammed you a geniunely screamed "NOOOOOOOOOO"

Thank you! I actually might take you up on that, because my chronic impatience with things like blowing up red crosses or market sniping mean I actually once had to sell a battleship with Miriam in order to be able to insure the next...
Unfortunately, the footage in this video is pretty much the result of a one time combination of ridiculous local holidays and dumb luck. Finding a series of five good fights with a single ship without losing it to a blob is new to me. My first two typhoons, for example, fired a combined total of 3 volleys of torps before dying an agonizing ecm'd death.
But yes, the final fight is actually what made me publish the vid in the end. I felt this was something original, even though I screwed up big time. But I have rarely felt both as elated and sad after a fight, rewatching the fraps, and wanted to share that.
Also, I'm seriously glad most people like the music \o/

May I ask which track wasn't to your liking? Also, that is interesting, because if I had had to name a clip that wasn't up to par I would have taken the drake/domi clip in Egghelende, since it basically consisted of a slowly dying Drake. Not my fault though that the Domi warped out.
Now I have some specific questions.
1. Did anyone read the comments? Are they too much, too small, too pointless, too anything? Are they worth the bother?
2. In the German forums some people have told me "too bad you deagressed in the last fight, you could have killed the Abso, and the Domi was history anyway". I do agree that if I had overloaded earlier and more consistently, the Absolution probably would have died. However, I still think that at the moment the Curse showed up the fight was over and I had no way to further break the Abso's tank or even hold a point till she died, so atm I stand by my decision to deagress.
Part of the idea behind the movie is to improve my piloting though, so I'd like to ask for your opinion: With the info you can get from the screen, do you think I still had a chance to kill the Absolution after the Curse had shown up?

I especially love the primary call of the ferox, but that's probably because that's the ship I fly mostly (and that to me, it is pretty obviously wrong ^^). Obviously you knew about the horrible mistakes you made, so next time you make a video (please do) you won't make them again.
Moar overloading, moar cap saving, taking better care of drones and using boosters will hopefully be on the agenda for your next one 
Oh and keeping your mwd where you can notice if it's on or off

Yeah, it was another head->desk decision. The last 2 Thoraxes I had had to deal with before that fight had been dualplated bait ones though. And it also figured in (just a bit) that I feared the Ferox would warp out and I kinda wanted the kill.

I just took the music I like and would like to hear in videos. If this was too boring for you I seriously suggest watching Bulldogroheim's movies.
Tbh, the only drawback is imo that the 2nd track is a bit too epic for what is happening, especially towards the end.

Let's hope so... even though I somewhat disagree on the heart part. In the last fight, it would have helped, but I live in mortal fear of frying guns. And yes, I have lost ships to fried gunracks before, so I usually try to make do without overloading unless it is for a specific purpose.
Also, guys, download the video! It's at 894 downloads now, and 1k means Lord Fantus will pay me another 100M! Did I mention he is a great guy?
Btw, thos vid has been downloaded more often than some of the truly epic ones, like fmercury's KillerQueen and even kessah's fp final, which I do not really understand. But I do appreciate it

Yeah ok, I hadn't considered that you probably were well aware you could tank it. Either way, can't really fault you for it, since you did win, although maybe it wasn't the most challenging matchup.
Regarding the views, I think the fact that it is short and it is one ship might have something to do with it. A single fight with astounding success is pretty common, but the only other example of a single ship winning several fights documented I can think of is Fon Revedhort's "The Rocket Wizardry", which incidentally also was very popular.

That was a really enjoyable video, possibly my favourite in a good while. Loved the music and the pacing. It was a really refreshing change, had me willing her to make it into warp in that last fight. Definitely make more.

Are you trying direct download or torrent? At least for me, torrent has worked as a charm before with files where others reported similar problems as yours.

For your video it's been a very good decision to deagress. That you burned back to the gate, spammed the jump button and actually made it was one of the most thrilling moments in your video (see my first comment ). For your KB stats you should have stayed. As the German folks said, you'd been dead anyway so you could have had a run for it anyway and maybe even killed it. Though I think that would have been less hilarious.

eve files has the following figures on the file:
Torrent downloads: 2472
Hits: 1297
Downloads: 2268 (1297 from eve-o)
So I guess the "hits" is the amount of times the link in this thread has been clicked, and all of those people have downloaded the movie. But what do the other figures tell me, most importantly "torrent downloads"? Are there 204 people out there who have downloaded the torrent file but not the movie? Does "downloads2 only refer to direct downloads?
What it comes down to - how many people have watched the movie if every downloaded file has been used once?

Unfortunately, Devil Tears died last week when I returned to a safespot one time too often and got greeted by some interceptors, soon to be joined by a veritable blob. Final tally had 1 Scorpion, 1 Blackbird, 2 Falcons and enough dps to kill me within ~3 rep cycles. During her life, she killed a grand 2 ships, both not really interesting to watch :(
So, the "one ship, one movie" series I had hoped to start with this has come to a rather rapid close, even though a new Domi is waiting to be christianed as I type this, and I plan to get a dualrep Mega going one of these days.
Still, I am actually trying to convince myself to put some more footage from the last year together and release it. However, most of that is small gang stuff which is hard to present properly and probably less interesting to watch since, usually, my wing man does the tanking. So, if I do release it the only thing it will have in common with Serious Business is the quality of the sound track

Was recommended to me by a corpy. Made me lol IRL. That and the fact they were enjoyable fights to watch made it a keeper. Your music choice was great. I like these PVP vids that don't take themselves too seriously.

Yea i remember this fight.. my drake had over 150(think 200)kills before it died to your domi :) anyway nice vid. and yea your would prop have died if you killet the abso. but you could have gotten it. but then curse kill you after with heas team.
